Oh my god, it‘s a glitch but it certainly feels like my TBR is this long!!
This feels so accurate. Except there's also constant snow falling, creating a bigger and bigger TBR pile!
I don‘t know what book(s) I‘ll #readordonate this month, but I know I‘ve totally reorganized my shelves and taken a number of books to the LFL, including these from my original list in the top picture.

I‘ve offloaded enough books that I can have the bulk of my fiction TBR on one shelf as shown in the bottom picture. Hardbacks, MMPBs, and mysteries are elsewhere for now.

My brother got me another cart for Christmas. I asked for a mint green one. Already filling it up with books that are tbr.
My first TBR of 2024! Here is my #JanuaryTBR. My goal this year is to read down my owned tbr stacks. So each month everything on my monthly TBRs will be something I already own. I listened to the song About You by The 1975 recently and I was inspired to make this bookish meme. The lyrics from the song that I‘m referring to say,”Do you think that I‘ve forgotten? Do you think that I‘ve forgotten about you?” This seemed like the perfect song to use. I‘ve never made a bookish meme. Maybe I‘ll hear another song and be inspired to make another bookish meme. I don‘t know when inspiration will strike me next.
I‘m sharing a Story Highlight section I made on Instagram with books I want to read. I called it To Be Read and I made a collection called To Be Read where I save books that I want to read. According to the collection, I have 382 books saved. Some of the books I saved are mine and some of the books I saved are not mine.
I‘m sharing how I organized my Goodreads TBR recently. I was on TikTok and some people on there said that they organized their Goodreads TBR by tropes that are in the books they want to read but I decided to organize mine by genre. I have a lot of books that I want to read but when I‘m trying to look through my Want To Read shelf, it takes forever to look through it to find something. I have to continuously scroll through it.

Today, I‘m sharing a spreadsheet I made of my book series that I need to finish. I haven‘t started any new series. There‘s 67 series on here. The Harry Potter series was on this spreadsheet before and I finished that series this year so I deleted that one off my spreadsheet. I feel really good about that. If I can‘t find the books in a series to read then I‘ll delete the series off of my spreadsheet.

Today, I‘m sharing a photo collage of the books I chose when I was still subscribed to #amazonfirstreads. I have 49 books. I had to look up the books I chose because I didn‘t remember. I subscribed in 2019 and I unsubscribed this month because I wasn‘t reading the books I picked but I just realized that I read 1 of them. I read The Wedding Game by Meghan Quinn and I enjoyed it but I forgot that I picked it.
I‘m an Amazon Prime member and I‘ve decided to unsubscribe from #amazonfirstreads. I picked out 2 ebooks for this month. I unsubscribed from this program last night because I realized that I‘ve been picking out books to read from this program every month but I haven‘t been reading them and I feel bad about it because I want to read them. When I‘ve read the books I picked out, I‘ll subscribe again.
Here is my #bookspin list for January 2023! I‘m so happy to be participating in this challenge this year. Hopefully, I‘ll do it right! As the months go on, this list will probably get edited because there are a few other challenges I‘m participating in that I might sprinkle in here from time to time. Laat but not least, it‘s the month of the #ToB22 and I want to read just one more shortlisted book before the tournament starts!

My #bookspin is Katalin Street, which I‘ll be reading for the #NYRBBookClub. The #doublespin is The Burgess Boys. I hope I‘ll read it, I love Strout‘s writing and this one is partly set in #Somalia which comes in handy for #ReadingAfrica2022.
I have been eyeballing the #bookspin and #doublebookspin challenge for a LONG time! I think I‘ll give it a shot this year! Hopefully, I‘ll do it right! If I understood the rules, and because I‘m a big mood reader, I threw in some vague numbers. RM from BTS, Rory Gilmore, the 1,001 list, and my TBRs from here and GoodReads! Here‘s to more reading in 2022!!
Bit of an issue with my TBR shelves now….. (photo is of *some* of my physical unread books).
At the start of 2021 I had 246 books on my TBR mountain. I‘ve only read 35 of those books during the year 😬(mmm….shiny new books instead!)
So now, with the books I‘ve bought and not read in the year my TBR mountain currently stands at 348 books. (194 Kindle, 154 physical)
Guess what one of next year‘s challenges is?! Yes - read the TBR mountain!
My TBR for this month might have some more books but I really want to clear my NetGalley shelf before 2022 begins. My wife and I are both COVID positive so what better relaxation than to read?

Just found this comparison of tags on StoryGraph. Interesting to see the difference in the ones I tagged 2020-favorites and the ones on my current #TBR list.
SG is working well to capture my TBRs. I'm still struggling to capture WHY I add certain books. This morning I realized that I could stack them here with a blurb to explain why I'm adding it.
I don't see that done much though? How do you remember why you chose a book for later?

I've been successful at reading at least two physical books per month with the help of #Bookspin and #DoubleSpin created by @TheAromaofBooks . These are tough still left.
Only 6 books left to hit my #MountTBR goal. Its been great to get the pile down, even though I keep buying more 😂
