Thanks to StoryGraph, I see that The Count of Monte Cristo is my answer, at about 1,276 pages. I read it in 2015. I loved the 2011- 2015 TV show Revenge. I learned it was based on this classic. I had put it off due to the length, but really enjoyed it and was happy I dove in. #SundayFunday

BookmarkTavern That is such a good one! Thanks for posting! 6d

AnneCecilie I had no idea Revenge was inspired by the Count of Monte Cristo. I see the series a little different now (edited) 5d

Amiable “The Count” is an enjoyable read, I agree! I liked it much better than “Les Miserables,” at least. 😖😀 6d

I listened to this on audiobook, and while I really enjoyed the story, boy this sucker is long! 😂

Sometimes a girl just needs to read a boy book and a good ol‘ western fits that bill. (This is not a story where the indigenous people‘s perspective is considered -so there is that). I saw this movie years back with Leonardo DiCaprio playing the part of Hugh Glass as he‘s viciously mauled by a grizzly bear. But I gotta say, reading an account of that attack might have been even more visceral.

I‘ve read and really liked David Copperfield. I expect to read Dickens‘ other books this year for #whattheDickens and I‘ll probably read Mansfield Park someday

I recently bought The Three Musketeers so I‘m looking forward to that one

Not a huge fan of the books I read in high school and college: The Scarlet Letter and Candide

ChaoticMissAdventures I really really struggled years ago when I read with 2w
dabbe I was surprised GREAT EX wasn't on the list, but I adored BLEAK HOUSE. I'm still working through NICHOLAS NICKLEBY. 🤣 Thanks for playing and sharing. 🩵📚🩵 2w

I took this as satire and it worked for me. Beguiling and dark; gruesome and funny. A weirdly fun, fast read!

I read 27 of them. Not bad I think. Definitely some favorites in there and one I despised and bailed on. My favorites were The Count of Monte Cristo, Lonesome Dove, and Rebecca. I hated The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao. I want to read A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. #tlt #threelistThursday @dabbe
