I enjoyed our #Scarathlon #TeamSlaughter #TeamBook. It was a cute cozy mystery with yummy cookie recipes. I listened on audio, but think that I might actually have preferred to read it, as the voices the narrator used didn‘t mesh well with my mental image of the characters.

I loved visiting Monument Rocks in Kansas. What a cool feature of nature.

1. I‘ve read a few books set in #Missouri that I either barely remember or didn‘t much like, so I‘m using this book from my TBR list.
2. I‘ve only been to St. Louis in the airport or whizzing by on I-70, so I‘d like to go there as a destination.

A present day mystery uncovers secrets from the night of the Tulsa Massacre. A very important piece of history I never knew until I was an adult. Books like this should be available to all teens to learn a more complete history of the US.

This book perfectly captures the ups, downs, roller coaster and tug-of-war feelings of a mom of three working full-time outside the home. Very realistic, not judgmental pro or con. Very easy-to-relate-to main character. Well-developed characters.

This was my #LMPBC book for January so I don't want to say too much. Basically, I really liked the story, but really didn't like the main character haha She was incredibly self-absorbed, and I thought she stayed that way all the way through.
