It took a while for me to really feel invested in these characters. Her writing is beautiful and the characters were well developed. The story was woven together wonderfully and by the end, the heart break of the story hit me hard. #SetInAfrica #AfricanAuthor #getreading2018 #22of36 #audiobook

This was a excellent pick for my final book of 2017. The story is powerful and emotional. Really just so good.

This is also my final book for the #litsyreadingchallenge !! I finished with 20 minute to spare in my time zone (CST). #lrc #setinAfrica

Catching up in the books I forgot to post along the way - been a busy year!
Loved listening to this on audio - my favourite format for memoirs in general, but especially this one. How he manages to balance the serious and the shenanigans so well I have no idea, but it is absolutely perfect. #setinAfrica (although I would get picky at say 'takes place in') #litsy2017readingchallenge

An excellent second book in the Darko Dawson series, set in Ghana 🇬🇭. Really sad in places because of the nature of the victims and the descriptions of where they lived and how they got there. Surprisingly funny and touching in others, with a good whodunit. #LitsyReadingChallenge #LRC5 #setinAfrica #LitsyAtoZ #LetterQ (image from web) @jessica

Bookzombie I added the first one to my TBR! 🙂 8y
bookwrm526 @Bookzombie It's great! It was set more out in a rural area where this one is set in the city. 8y

If you want a read a detective story driven by male swagger, do not read this book. If you want to read how a resilient woman who uses her intelligence and intuition in her detective career to relentlessly pursuit truth and justice for her clients and her beloved county. #lrc5 #setinafrica

Started this one the other day on the recommendation of @Dragon and it's lovely. What a life the MC leads, traipsing around the world. I'm using it for the #litsyreadingchallenge #setinafrica prompt!

LauraBeth Wow - this sounds amazing! 8y
Wife Cute spot for the bookworm! 8y
Laura317 This sounds both sad, lovely and poignant. 8y
