In a month with anniversaries of deceased loved ones, it‘s fitting I should read a book about ghosts. For me, haunting is when everyday actions bring constant reminders of loved ones you can no longer see in the flesh. St. James‘ characters, especially Fiona, are haunted much like this—and worse. I would definitely read another mystery from Simone St. James.

I found this audiobook on Scribd! So far the narrator and story are good. It‘s been on my shelf (#BOTM selection) for months also. The love it‘s getting from Littens is motivating me. Plus it works for either #scaryread or #setinschool (I need both!) for #booked2018.

This was such a fun read! Historical romance and mystery for the YA audience. Stranje House is a finishing school unlike any other Georgiana Fitzwilliam has ever heard of. Full of unusual girls and even more unusual teachings. And with her knack for inventions and experiments, Georgie might just fit in.

Matilda is one of my favorite books from childhood. It was wonderful to share it with my son. Matilda is a 5 year old genius, who spends her time reading classic novels. She is unappreciated by her awful parents who disdain books and reading. When she begins kindergarten Matilda finds an ally in her teacher miss honey and using powers she discovers in school takes on the evil head teacher Miss Trunchbull. Loved! #booked2018 #setinschool

I almost bailed on this early because something about the writing style was bugging me but it must have gotten better because i really enjoyed this. That cliffhanger ending was really not fair though! #booked2018 #setinschool

Book 14 of #MountTBR - @Heatherfeather sent this to me in a swap. I‘m so glad she did because I probably I wouldn‘t have picked it up on my own. I especially enjoyed the frank talk about sex and double standards between the girls and the female bonding. #setinschool #booked2018
