While I have been following Amelia Atwater-Rhodes since her very first book, I like the Kiesha'ra series the best out of all her books. A land of shapeshifters and magic.
The story begins with a war between two families, the Falcons and the Cobras. In later books, the Hawks and Wolfs will play key rolls.
A fantastic read.
The Kiesha'ra Series, Originally Reviewed, 2016 updated for Litsy, 2024.
I couldn‘t remember much about The String Diaries, but I got swept up in this sequel!
The main character and her daughter from book 1 have been with the Hosszu eletek for the last 15 years, and are working on a fertility programme to improve the races birth rate. But the Hosszu eletek volunteers are not enough, and a new threat to their race, the Tolvajak, thought to be extinct are now hunting down their young.

I really enjoyed the first book in this series, so looking forward to finally getting around to book 2!

The second book in the Web Shifter's Library series, this SF novel has further adventures of lovable shapeshifter Esen and friends. Biologist Julie Czerneda is great at inventing interesting alien species.

Book 4 in this series- and it has taken me about 6 months to finish- but that‘s because of my easily distracted brain. It was fun and a little more sad - slightly disjointed with popping in and out of Fae, horrible imprisonment and torture- but a solid installment for this not quite cozy but cozy adjacent fantasy series.
This is my #readordonate for January. This has been on my shelf for ages and I keep starting it and stopping then ignoring it. It‘s become an obligation now which doesn‘t encourage me to read it!
Going to donate it and hope someone else will enjoy reading it.

Yes I have FINALLY finished a book, but to be fair life has been a little tough lately. This was a good Jane Yellowrock book as always. Yes I now have a beard, that‘s how long it took me to read a whole book - I grew a beard while it happened.
#SeriesLove2024 I actually have finished the Jane Yellowrock series and it got better with each book, eighteen in all. I encourage everyone who enjoys urban fantasy to give this series a shot. I‘m still listening to the Soulwood series which is a sister series of Jane Yellowrock. I‘m listening to the Mercy Thompson series and its sister series, Alpha and Omega. I‘m listening to Jim Butcher‘s Dresden Files and the Cinder Spires. (cont) ⬇️
