3- The Half King by Melissa Landers. five🌟. This book was surprising. I began it believing it was going to be a Beauty & The Beast infused love story...it was something else entirely. A storyline of a woman finding her power in a male controlled world.

AnnCrystal 5- Batman...I can't seem to read/watch anything Batman right now because of the whole problem with reality being very Gotham-like...yet I found the tagged on my TBR to-buy list, and it seems more of a mystery focused on Bruce Wayne's family and not so much about chaotic Gotham City. Thanks @debinhawaii for #5JoysFriday & for the tag 💖🌺💝. Hope you and yours are keeping safe and warm and that your power has returned.

1- Homemade deliciousness, Pizza 🍕, cookies 🍪, and meatballs 😋💝.

2- January 2025 was too chaotic, glad for February 2025 to begin...hopefully far more calmer 🙏💝.

3- sleeping better now that the Rains have been here...and there is more in the forecast! Prayers for those in the scary storms 🙏💝.

AnnCrystal 4- Those Batman quotes inspired a Batman dream, who came and spoke a qoute that I hadn't shared because it was by Harvey Dent. Figured it meant I should post about it.

I also had an epic dream of the Heyoka, who are cultural jesters of the Sioux Lakota & Dakota. They are sacred spirit beings who have the power to heal through good natured humor. Have not researched about them in years, it was fun to see them.

CatLass007 I‘ve always favored the Batman comics. I stopped watching the movies because there can only be so many origin stories for one character. I enjoyed Michael Keaton‘s appearances as Batman. I‘ve never been a fan of Val Kilmer, and I thought George Clooney was a good Bruce Wayne but his Batman was still Bruce Wayne. I liked Christian Bale in Empire of the Sun because it was a great movie based on a great book. His Batman was okay (cont)⬇️ 4mo

CatLass007 but he couldn‘t hold a candle to Heath Ledger so he kind of faded into the background. And I haven‘t seen any movie featuring Batman since that. But I definitely think this a defining quote for Batman. Batman is a dark character but he‘s the real person. Bruce Wayne the playboy is the secret identity, not the real person at all. 4mo

CatLass007 Batman Begins is the first one with Christian Bale? Which one is the most recent one? I haven‘t seen it so I don‘t know why it would have messed with your head. 4mo

AnnCrystal @CatLass007 correct, Christian Bale. The first one of the trilogy. Just the first one. The novelization and the movie have become my favorite take on the story so far.

The Batman (2022) stars Robert Pattinson. There were some gorgeous “Batman“ scenes, yet I found the movie difficult to watch for some reason. I think it was the Pandemic, and the ongoing widespread crime in real life that made Gotham feel all too real, except we don't have Batman. 4mo
