This was fun! At a family reunion, murder abounds. The family is purely dysfunctional with so many secrets that I had to laugh out loud at times. Admittedly, the middle of the book was not as engaging to me, but as the pieces fell into place, it was a pretty wild ride. #52BookClub23 #ABookAboutSiblings

Not my favorite TJR read, but that may because I‘m not a fan of celebrity…and all that goes along with it. However, It was an integral theme to the book, so it was necessary. I most enjoyed the familial relationships and personal drama away from the privileged lifestyle—although the party scene was quite humorous—loved the surfing down the roof into the pool. Lol. #52bookclub23 #abookaboutsiblings

The Lost Man | Jane Harper

My third Jane Harper in as many days and I have NO SHAME! 😅 I think the thing I love most about her books is how Australia and the Australian Outback feel like an additional character. So completely tangible! I‘m only halfway through this one, but really loving it. 🇦🇺 #52bookclub23 #abookaboutsiblings

ICantImReading I think my favorite of hers is The Survivors! I can‘t wait for her new one at the end of the month! 😀 1y
DHill One of my favorite authors! 1y

Ruthiella I agree that she so great with describing the landscape and surroundings! 👍 1y
BarbaraBB I always feel like I‘m in Australia when reading them. While I‘ve never been there 😀 1y
Cinfhen Agreed. The landscape is always a character in Harper‘s novels however…that‘s NOT really the case as much in her newest. It bothered some readers, though you know I loved the story and still felt a sense of place 1y
Cinfhen I completely forgot about The Survivors. I never got around to reading it when it came out. It‘s another standalone, right @ICantImReading ??? 1y
squirrelbrain I love that you‘re just racing through them all! ❤️ 1y
CarolynM This one is my favourite. 1y
LaraReads @ICantImReading I‘m so glad to hear this! I wasn‘t sure about it, but might have to pick it up next before Exiles! 1y
LaraReads @CarolynM yes, it is quickly moving to the top on mine! Can‘t wait to see how it ends! @DHill she‘s pretty great! I love her writing style. @squirrelbrain yes! 😅 They are definitely my new obsession! 1y
LaraReads @Ruthiella @BarbaraBB so great! And I‘ve never been either, but can imagine imagine a lot of it now. 1y
LaraReads @Cinfhen I can see her moving away/branching out a little, but I‘m sure I‘ll still feel the setting & love it anyway! 1y
ICantImReading @Cinfhen yes, another standalone! It also had an atmospheric setting - a small seaside town in Tasmania! 1y
Librarybelle Awesome! I‘ve yet to read this one! 1y
LaraReads @Librarybelle just finished it, and it was definitely my fave of hers so far. It was excellent. Even teared up a time, and did not see the ending coming! 1y
Cinfhen I just read another book, NF also set in Tasmania @ICantImReading so that setting really appeals to me!! Thanks for the recommendation 😊 1y
mcctrish I read The Dry last year ( and LOVED IT) and I believe 2023 might be the year I go down this rabbit hole 1y

jenniferw88 @Cinfhen I'd describe it as historical fantasy, and the Kindle version estimated between 5 and 6 hours to read. 4y
