These holds came in at the same time 😱 I read non-fiction at a snails pace, and now I have to read two(!) in three weeks? 😵 (In addition to 7 more fiction longlist books in two weeks 😅)
Well, I hope these read faster than Doppelganger at least. 😂

julesG 🤞🏻 4w
squirrelbrain Both ‘easier‘ reads than Doppelgänger, for sure. 4w
Hooked_on_books I just finished Thunderclap and it‘s a pretty quick read. I read the other on audio, so I can‘t tell you how fast the print is, but it‘s good! (Both are.) 4w
Leniverse @Hooked_on_books @squirrelbrain I've just started Thunderclap because it's shortlisted so I figure I'm less likely to be able to renew it. And I realised it's shorter than it first appears. The pages are thicker than usual and there's lots of empty space and pictures of the paintings. It's a gorgeous book! 4w
squirrelbrain Yes, I just got this on BorrowBox as I listened to it on audio. I‘m not re-reading it all but flicking through to look at the pictures and reading the relevant parts. 4w

I like to choose an uplifting and inspiring book to start the new year off with.

This year, it's this book and a great reminder that things to look forward to are both big and small. This really compliments my list of things to accomplish this year-the list is populated with small things to look forward to accomplishing in 2024. No resolutions this year, just things to look forward to doing.

What are you looking forward to this year?

These are only few possible books I will like to read. I‘m a such a mood reader😕🤷🏽‍♀️ I never know what I‘m going to read next. That‘s why my #BookSpinBingo card reflects topics no books anymore. But I‘m posting possible tbr, I think that counts☺️Each team has interesting buddy reads.

#Scarathlon
20 points + 1 point for posting (possible tbr😬)I will try to read those by Simone St. James

Well, if it accepted then it will be 21 points🤗

I absolutely enjoyed reading this book. I found it to be interesting. I am studying to be a vet assistant. The stories in this book are heartwarming. I borrowed this book from the library.

This book is what I am reading to my grandmother. She is still recovering from the brain bleed that happened in January. She has recovered a lot, she still has some problems from it. Last night she asked me to read to her. It is the love of books that she instilled into me. She can't see to well either. I am going to do the Little House series next cause that is what we both enjoy so much.

dabbe Your grandmother is very lucky to have you. Wishing her a continued recovery.

Crystal83 @dabbe Thank you!!! I am lucky to have her. She is one of kind. My grandfather and her took my mom and my siblings in after my parents divorced when I was little. 11mo
