#Rocktober Traveling is a #Bitch especially dealing with security, passport control & an inefficient airport system😫I'm exhausted & a little cranky today ~ got some #blindAss reading in though (it's sooo good) and I really had an amazing, meaningful experience yesterday, despite the long delays!

Due to the generosity of a handful of philanthropic families the Jews of Odesa/Ukraine went from zero (according to Nazi records) in 1942 to over 300,000 today! It's pretty incredible. 7y

Cinfhen We were 220 people from US, Israel, SA & UK ~ we all flew together from TelAviv to Odesa yesterday for the day! It's only a 2 1/2 hr flight but we had LONG delays both ways 😝 @BarbaraBB like I said, the airport wasn't very efficient in processing 220 passengers, they had one person in Odesa working the check in counter 7y

Cinfhen It was amazing @suet64 @CatLass007 @kspenmoll @TrishB there is a private organization called Tikva (means Hope in Hebrew) who provide shelter, food, education, healthcare, emotional & financial support to over 1100 children. Currently 290 are actually living in Tikva House. TikvaOdessa.org (edited) 7y

Cinfhen Yes @LeahBergen I totally forgot about that experience🤢I'm so glad I had an opportunity to meet some of the children who are currently living in Tikva House and others who are now adults, married with their own kids who graduated from the home. It was a really meaningful day @britt_brooke @Andrew65 sometimes one forgets how lucky we are, this was a reminder🙏🏻💜 7y
