This was a really entertaining and eye opening look at how lost cities are found using Lidar. It can be quite technical at times and somewhat frustrating. Scientists can be overly sensitive babies and most of the jungle just wants to kill you. But if you can get past that it is a fascinating tale.

The Cutty Sark was built in 1869 to bring tea from China to England and sailed until 1922 carrying various cargo. After being restored twice, it is now open for tours in London. This was the first book I‘ve read by Kristin Hannah, and I loved it! I will definitely be reading more of hers. When in the right mood, because this was pretty much depressing from the first page to the last. You definitely need a box of tissues next to you with this book!

An opportunity to pick up a bk languishing in my tbr pile and what a wonderful read.
A chance meeting in a antwerp station allows the narrator to recount conversations of many yrs with jacques austerlitz. A moving tale of a child adopted in 1939 by a childless welsh couple, who as an adult realises he was part of the kinder transport. This triggers a dislocation ⬇️

It‘s good to be back in Bayview High! We get introduced to new main characters but it was also fun catching up with the original cast. I thought this sequel was just as good as the first. A fun, engrossing YA mystery.

Picked up for #booked2021 #containsphotos .This photographer's journey through Malaysia capturing scenes in #malaysia made me tear up a little as what will be left of it after this pandemic?
The photographs were beautiful, the corresponding paragraphs captured the view points of the subjects.

This book made me laugh so hard! I can‘t wait to watch the show. I listened to the audio while also reading the book and I highly recommend both. Really, these two could have talked about watching paint dry and I would have enjoyed it. Loved the history of Scotland plus the dynamics of these two #booked2021 #containsphotos #doublespin #july
