Despite having #CovidBrain I still managed to finish 7 books this week! I struggled with BW for the first 200 pages but then I flew through the final 150 pages. I didn‘t love it as much as @BarbaraBB but I did figure out what was what. None of these books were outstanding but I did get a few good laughs from Helen Ellis 😁 I‘m definitely feeling much better and appreciate all your get well wishes 🥰

Not every thriller needs to be 100% plausible to be 100% enjoyable. A solid #MurderMystery from Paula Hawkins. A young man living on a houseboat is found stabbed to death by a nosey neighbor. Who would want this man dead? And why does the neighbor want to frame an author‘s wife?? At first I thought my #CovidBrain wouldn‘t keep up but narration by Rosamund Pike made it easy.

Cinfhen My booster will reach its 6 month period at the end of February so it was on the lower end of effectiveness @BarbaraBB but the good news is that I‘m only having flu symptoms & nothing like chest or breathing pains. It‘s basically like any other bad winter cold. 2y

Cinfhen @Simona @BarbaraBB I know SEVERAL people who were asymptotic and had no clue they had Covid but only found out during a routine test for either travel, or work function that required pre-testing. I‘m glad you‘re both staying safe♥️ 2y

TrishB @Simona @BarbaraBB we have to test to go onto campus too. We‘re very clear that the booster doesn‘t stop you getting it- just much less likely to end up in hospital! Glad you‘re feeling a bit better Cindy ❤️ 2y

BarbaraBB We have to show our QR (3G) to get into events, museums, theaters, restaurants etc (all of which have just reopened today) but no pre-testing. But our government still doesn‘t have a clue and changes its policy weekly so we‘ll be probably pre-testing in a few weeks too 😉. Cinfhen The rules keep changing here too and truthfully nothing has changed the course of the pandemic @BarbaraBB it just keeps spreading & morphing but fewer people are dying, so that‘s a HUGE relief 😅 2y

I'm a college professor, & this semester has been ROUGH. This meme says it all! I'm truly not complaining - I'm very blessed to have a job at all, much less one I love. But #covidbrain has certainly affected my reading life. About two weeks left, so I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. So excited to regularly engage with you again! ♥

mom2bugnbee @Amiable Shes doing great. ♥ I wish that she would get out a bit more (although I understand her hesitancy - she doesn't want to be sent home) & I worry that she isn't having a typical college experience, but then I remember that this IS typical for her, since she knows no different. She assures me that she's happy & her grades are great. I miss her. 3y

Amiable @mom2bugnbee Hopefully with the good news about the efficacy of the Pfizer vaccine we might be able to start moving back to the old normal in enough time for her to have at least a partial college experience that was typical for us! 3y
