My first King Charles stamp!!
Thank you, @squirrelbrain! I guess this is for the 31st, so I'm putting the letter away until Easter Sunday 😉

This is a short, humorous, Sapphic fantasy on drugs. Unfortunately I didn't click with the humour, which is a pity because I do think it is well written and original. So this is a So-So for me but I would still urge people to try it because I know those who do click with the humour will absolutely LOVE it. It also might be one to try on audio.
This volume contains all three stories. I loved the artwork and the three books together was a fun read. If you're looking for a great escape read this is for you.

As a #sherlocked fanatic, I revere the original canon by C-Doyle. His belief and essay on fairies? #notsomuch #alittlecraycray
#NewYearNewBooks #Fairies I guess nearly everyone might have a book or two on this subject on their shelves!🧝♂️🧚♀️
Diane ❤️ thank you for this lovely package and AMAZING card! Where did you find it? it is so fun 🩵🩵🩵 Also these pretty oracle cards! Very positive and uplifting🤍🤍🤍
Originally published in 1925 - this collection of stories and verse honestly make for strange reading in 2023 - they are very moralistic (among other things - very set in gender stereotypes, written with the cadence of religious texts - but maybe that‘s just how kids texts were in the 1920s?)
Lovely illustrations tho. My favourite tale was of Nolia and the Great Tree - who became great, life changing friends after an unfortunate event.
Fairy Garden
I know a fairy garden,
Along a crooked way-
You reach it by the path of sleep,
Or by the road of play.
There all the flowers are fairy flowers,
Forever growing there.
There all the hours are winged hours,
Not weighted by despair.
All children‘s toys become alive
And folk of children‘s dreams ;
For nothing is as it should be,
But only as it seems.
- Eva Lawton
I skimmed this because I was mostly just here for the illustrations but it looks to be a fairly sweet, if rather moralistic tale about a Fairy who wouldn‘t fly learning to not only spread her wings (!!!) but find her purpose in helping others.
