Technically this isn't my very first Litsy post, but since I joined yesterday I'm sneaking it in:) #firsteverlitsypost
Finally starting my October creep reads and first up is Bird Box. Decided to wait until daylight to begin because I've heard this book can make those of us already slightly scared of the dark just a little more scared. So sticking to sunshine reads on this one!
My #firsteverlitsypost was this quote from Skellig:
"William Blake used to faint sometimes,' said Mina. 'He said the soul was able to leap out of the body for a while, and then leap back again. He said it could be caused by great fear or enormous pain. Sometimes it was because of too much joy. It was possible to be overwhelmed by the presence of so much beauty in the world.'" #day9 #booktober
I wasn't exactly sure how I would fit in here or how to go about making a presence. I posted a ton of blurbs in row with a pic and caption of sorts from each book I'd read so far this year. #firsteverlitsypost #booktober. As many of us have reflected, thank you all for being so welcoming, smart, funny, heartfelt, honest, and a genuinely spectacular group of people where we really have a fun time every day ❤️
#booktober day 10: #outofthisworld
Like my #firsteverlitsypost I had a popcorn and Saga Sunday yesterday, this time with volume 6 of what is one of my very favourite series. I love the different worlds, from the very strange to some that are more familiar. And at the heart of it all a family that's trying to make it, a family that is defying convention, I all the odds, all the naysayers. It's exciting, funny, and just the right kind of bonkers
It's only been a few weeks since I joined, but I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has been kind enough to follow a random stranger back and comment nice things on my pictures. You guys make Litsy awesome! #booktober #firsteverlitsypost #day9
