pickI know the reviews for this one aren‘t great, but I liked it. It is a slow burn but it kept my interest and kept me guessing trying to figure out the mystery. Some good twists at the end too!

This very much written for me, a former child who was saved by books. It goes over the edge into too syrupy at times, but still satisfies-- and it's a nice change from the cliche of “you met your life-saving artist and he's a real dick.“ This author isn't perfect, but does not let us down.
And my first full bingo card for #HauntedShelf! I love cards like this because they're subjective. It's really fun coming up with meaningful associations.

I finished after all, and it's a low pick. There's very little in the way of worldbuilding, so if you're not deeply invested in the vibes and romance there's not much left -- and these aren't really my vibes. The romance is pleasant, once the heroine stops acting like a 5 year old. I probably won't continue the series, but who knows?

Obviously it's from one of the graves & Callum offers to rebury it, but when they return later that night things are more complicated than it first appeared. The dead are rising from their eternal rest & Gobbelino doesn't want to get involved but he doesn't have much choice in the matter.
pickFinished this over the weekend (before the accident) but haven‘t had a chance to post until now. I enjoyed this more than I thought I would! And it wasn‘t what I was expecting, but it was a wild and tense ride.

Read for #BobWhiteBuddies Book 7 in the series doesn‘t quite live up to my childhood hype of it. I remember it being a favorite because of the code found in the magazine (Saint Nicholas-a real children‘s magazine) & the little spark of Trixie/Jim romance (a corsage & a dance but be still my preteen heart) Unfortunately the racist caricature of the Japanese brothers doesn‘t age very well. It still gets a nostalgic ⬇️
