So I just somewhat impulsively purchased a Kindle Paperwhite. I never thought I‘d go back to Kindle. I usually read on my iPad mini. All the reviews were touting its long battery life, reduced eye strain, and the ability to read outside. We shall see. I blame it on Prime Day. #kindle #paperwhite #ereader #blameitonprime

Purrfectpages @JoScho @Pamwurtzler @jess7 that‘s what I keep hearing! I‘m notorious for reading in bed at night and I like the idea of being able to read outside. I have SO MANY books to transfer though, so I‘ll see. I also got the special offers button but I heard you can get them removed. (edited) 6y
JoScho You know they don‘t really bother me. And yes you can pay to remove them later so just see how you feel about them. Sometimes they even suggest books that I like. 6y
Purrfectpages @JoScho I‘m hearing you can just ask Amazon customer support and they‘ll do it. It sounds too easy though! I never watch ads anymore. Not even on TV! Lol 6y
JoScho Same! I pay for Hulu no commercials. But it is a picture when your kindle is asleep of a book they recommend. There are sometimes some ads at the bottom of the screen when you are on your home page but basically instead of having a book amazon wants you to purchase as your screensaver you would have something more generic. 6y

JoScho I currently have a Voyage but had the Black paperwhite for years and was very jealous when they came out with the white one. Seriously you will use it so much. I can‘t wait to see a picture with your new pink case! 6y
Purrfectpages @JoScho what‘s different about the Voyage? I see so much of the black one, but I love the clean look of white. It goes well with a lot of colors, too. I‘ll post a pic once I‘ve got her all dressed, so to speak lol 6y
JoScho @Purrfectpages the Voyage has buttons on both side as well as page swipe. I liked the idea of being able to read one handed-with either hand-and being able to turn the pages. It is a small detail but I sold my old one to justify the purchase and got it on prime day. Yes dress her up! I call it #kindlewear 6y
