so-soI'm not sure if Connelly's storylines hold up well when distilled into vignettes like these. I think the short length of these stories accentuates the weaknesses in Connelly's novels and makes the things that are strengths in the novels, like the character development, feel trite and calculated. Still, they do fill in some blanks from the novels.
pickI‘ve always been fascinated by the O.J. Simpson case. I found this on Audible Plus and figured it was finally time to mark this off my TBR.
Everything surrounding this case is tragic. So many people were affected by his actions. This had some interesting parts but did drag in places. I‘d give this a low pick at 3.5⭐️ The narrator is decent but a bit stiff.

pickThis was a great listen. I didn't like the British accent for the narrator for a story that took place in the US.. it felt weird. But once you get over that, the story is really interesting. The author does a good job of making Keri Locke seem very personable.. she makes bug mistakes and doesn't have her life together. She seems relatable.
I am going to listen to the whole series I think.

I suppose you could say this was a #unique read for mystery #bookclub because a giant bomb isn‘t your standard murder weapon (Thank God!!), and it also fulfills the #newtoyou author prompt. I‘m not sure if I‘ll read anything else of his, but it was a@real page turner.
