1. I have some original Wizard of Oz books from the early 1900s. Earliest is 1903.
2. The Wizard of Oz stories are still filled with fantasy and perfect for children.

Browsing my local Barnes and Noble, I stumbled upon a game book for an Oz tabletop RPG. It is amazing. I had to find out more about Oz. Having only known the Wizard of Oz and its sequel Return to Oz, I did not know too much about Oz. But now I have the complete collection here on my kindle and will journey into the land of Oz posthaste. Wish me luck.

Fr3NcHtOaSt @BookmarkTavern I‘m halfway through the first book and I love it. I knew this was going to be good. It‘s such a joy to read. 12mo
BookmarkTavern I love the first one, but I think 2 and 3 are my favorite. 💛 12mo
Fr3NcHtOaSt @BookmarkTavern from what I already do know I think Tik Tok is my favorite character so far, just from having seen Return to Oz. 12mo

“Where in the world did you come from?”
“From the land of Oz,” said Dorothy gravely. “And here is Toto, too. And oh, Aunt Em! I‘m so glad to be at home again!”

A Kidnapped Santa Claus | L. Frank Baum

Pickpick

This is very short and takes place after The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus. The world isn‘t as expansive and it‘s really too short to feel much about it, so I think reading it without the previous novella wouldn‘t be a great experience. If you have read the previous novella, you‘ll likely enjoy this episode that follows the events of that story.

Finished this on my way home. I‘m not convinced of the necessity of the dual timeline. Most of the time was spent in the past — I‘d often forget that there was also a story being told about the filming of The Wizard of Oz.

I‘m headed home tomorrow, so I took one last walk by the river this evening. I‘m enjoying Finding Dorothy. #audiowalk
