I‘m in a major Anne Rice mood but I don‘t want to carry on with my slow-ass Vampire Chronicles reread while my head‘s full of the TV adaptation, so THE MUMMY it is. I‘ve only read it twice and I don‘t remember it super well, so I‘m excited.
I started while I drank a lunchtime smoothie. My original plan was to sit on the patio, but it was occupied by an enormous number of small children (pictured out the window).
so-so3✨ I like that this Goosebumps went to and interesting destination. Gabe goes to Egypt to visit his uncle who is working in one of the pyramids. When Gabe loses his cousin and uncle he‘s alone in the depths of the pyramid they are looking at. Definitely, creepy. I was reading this Goosebumps classic in a treehouse my dad built. A storm was brewing, and I read a line, something along the lines of 'he opened door and was hit with a blast of stale air' just as a gust of wind shook the tree house. I promptly closed the book and ran inside 😆 #throwbackthursday
