This weekend I had fun cooking with my oldest son. We made Boeuf Bourguignon. It was sooo delicious!
The Barefoot Contessa never disappoints.
This is fun. It‘s a ‘facsimile‘ cookbook, complete with doodles, notes & sarcy comments, & a whole bunch of traditional(ish) Scottish recipes.
In shock news, today I actually made the breakfast baps from it, along with Delia‘s leek & potato soup. In more shock news, I‘d do both again!
Tagging @tpixie as this falls under the long-neglected #neglectedcookbooks tag - not sure I‘ll manage a new recipe a month, but I‘m going to give it another try 😋
Lol A few years ago I decided that once a month I was going to try a new recipe from a cookbook I had and post it. I‘ve only done it a few times. But once a month my calendar reminds me that I‘m supposed to do it and tag a couple Littens! 😂🤪😜📚 👩🍳 🥘

1963 edition of my mom‘s with all the stains to go with it. 😊
Having one of those days when I am are set to do something and don‘t have a key item and the spouse has already been to the store once. 😬😬
The Chicken Parmesan with the Lemon Vinaigrette 🍋 Salad was delicious!! I added Panko with my bread crumbs. #litsycooks

Last post for the night:
A #puremorning starts with breakfast... Delicious French toast on page 127 specifically... 😋
Seriously though, this cook book is amazing. Super simple recipes, with basic ingredients, and easy to follow instructions. As someone who learned to appreciate the culinary arts much later in life, this book has been a life saver.
