Christmas Chaos: Hidden Picture Puzzles | Jill Kalz, James Yamasaki

Anyone else having trouble finding time to read/being able to relax and sink into a book this time of year??? I have so many good books I want to get to (some before the end of year for challenges) but am finding myself unable to keep the to do list from creeping in.

MarticaMustRead I'm ?% right there with you! There's just simply too much going on, to much on my to-do list, & too many gatherings/events this time if year! I'll be so happy once all the "chaos" is over so i can get back to reading in peace n quiet, lol. 9y

minkyb Totally. I have been reading the same book ALL month so far and it's good and I want to read but there is no time and when I get into bed I am too tired! 9y

BookNAround Yes! Does it make me a bad person to be glad I'm not the only one? I keep picking up and putting down books as I remember yet one more drafted thing I need to do for the holidays. 😝 9y

cariashley SAME. It's my busiest time at work plus a million personal obligations. I go with easy, quick reads at times like this but have still been reading the same book for 10 days (bad for me!) 9y

KassKho Yes! I spend all day working in a book store helping everyone else get gifts that I feel like I've been reading the same book for ages! The only thing that's been working is audiobooks. I can't wait till the 24th. I'm sitting in a corner and reading while everyone else unwraps presents 🎁 9y

GlitteryOtters Yes, but I think part of that is because we have birthdays as well as Christmas at this time of the year, so I am spending so much time and energy working on that (budget is tight, SO birthday celebrations are labor intensive & light on $). Audiobooks are saving me right now. 9y

mjdowens I am also feeling the pain here. My daughter graduates college Dec. 17th, my son's birthday is the 19th, then skip on along to Xmas. My Scrooge is showing. I just want to be read my book 9y

Well-ReadNeck @GlitteryOtters Yes! Lots of family birthdays here, too. From Nov 22-January 13 there are 7 in our extended family so the gifts this time of year are by far the most stressful thing for me (in part because I don't really decorate the house). 9y

Hooked_on_books Definitely! My mom is visiting, and while I love her, it's seriously cutting into my reading time. My stats for December will be way down and I'm getting grouchy from not enough introverting time. 9y

Faibka I'm off for a few days in December so I'm hoping to get some kind of reading done. Since November I've been in a terrible slump :( 9y
