This was a *lot* -- and kind of tough to read during this time when real life is the same. But Bardugo did a beautiful job of tying all the series' loose ends together for a very satisfying conclusion. Her plotting is so clever! I'm surprised to see that others think another book was being set up, but I certainly won't complain if it happens.

It felt a bit long winded at times, probably because I had found out who the killer was very early on. Still enjoyed how Horowitz put it all together.

pick42/100 I hate to sound like an old foggy, but I miss the days when comic creative teams stayed on a title more than 2 or 3 issues, not that I expect anyone to do 102 issues like Lee & Kirby did on Fantastic Four, but I appreciate continuity in writing and art. That said, I miss Kurtis Wiebe's writing style. This issues humor seemed forced, as if every other word being a cuss word was funny. I didn't mind the art style change, it was close ⬇️
pick41/100 There is a killer lose in Gotham, named Midnight, who takes the heart of their victims. Working with some of Batman's most notorious foes, Joker, Scarecrow, Clayface, they wreak terror on the city. The story is kind of clunky, exposition heavy, and Midnight's true identity is pretty obvious. What saves this from a so-so rating, is the amazing artwork by Kelly Jones. Jones truly captures Batman as a creature of the night, and since this ⬇️

The killer has a list and the murders were horrendous. Hunter and Garcia had to quickly find the killer before he killed again. The autopsy reveals a poem left by the killer inside the body of the victim. Another body is found when a second part of the poem is found. Hunter and Garcia must catch the most disciplined killer that he has ever encountered, someone who thrives on victim‘s fear.

pickThe second book of the three McBride cousins and still ties to Eternity Springs. Tucker is another book in the Eternity Springs series that I just love. The group in Texas is great but I really love the Colorado backdrop more.
