I completed the #Booked2022 Challenge! HUZZAH!! I likely wouldn't have found Voices or The Prettiest Star without these prompts, so thank you! They were some of the better books I read this year. Now on to 2023.

❄2 In a Dark, Dark Wood #TitleRepeatsItself

🌸8 Voices From Chernobyl #WrittenByAJournalist

☀13 Butterflies in November #IncludesARecipe

🍁19 Madam #DarkAcademiaNovel
🍁24 The Prettiest Star #MCHasAIDS

Cinfhen Yay🎉💜you can still fill out the form for fourth quarter drawing today. 2y
Cinfhen I also read and loved this book. So sad 😞 2y
julieclair Yay! Congrats! 🎉 2y

I read this book for #booked2022 #titlerepeatsitself and it took me a long time. I started it months ago and for whatever reason I couldn‘t get into it then. But I‘ve wizzed through the last two thirds. The characters were complicated and felt real and it was the ending that absolutely made it for me. It drew me back around to look at the whole story again and the choices we choose to make.

Cinfhen I also started this book but put it down & never returned to it. Maybe I‘ll try again 2y
Magpiegem @Cinfhen ah that‘s interesting! I think it‘s worth picking back up but it‘s definitely not a fast paced whodunnit. It‘s a slow burn. Listening to it helped (whilst I wrapped presents) xx 2y
Cinfhen Good to know, maybe I‘ll try audio - thanks 😊 2y
Reggie The next book is really good. Still waiting for the 3rd to come out. 2y

I was disappointed in this. I suspected who the killer was and I‘m usually way off base but this time I was right. It was just VERY predictable! I kept thinking there would be some twist that made it less obvious, but sadly, no. I finished it, but not my favorite 😵‍💫 this counts for #booked2022 #titlerepeatsitself so yay!

Cinfhen Yay for the challenge prompt but boo for the obvious plot! Im not a huge fan of Ware🤷🏼‍♀️ (edited) 2y
CBee @Cinfhen I don‘t think I am either. I‘ve only read one other book of hers and it was just okay 🤷‍♀️ 2y

I‘ve never played games in my life- so for an author to keep my interest with so many descriptions of games is a real skill! I did love the story though and even loved the ending.
The trials and tribulations of life and friendship ♥️

Cinfhen Woohoo!! Great choice!!! I loved this story too 2y
BarbaraBB Love your review. So true - even though I did love computer games in the 90s 2y
bthegood I remember I'd have 2 dollars and have to decide - record or barbie outfit - today I don't think I could get close to either with 2 dollars. I think records were getting popular again (just like the new bars with pinball machines in them) - these are “new“ to the 20 somethings 🙂 2y

This is a fast paced multigenerational story of twelve Native characters, on their way to the Big Oakland Powwow. The Powwow is a celebration of Native culture. There are substantial cash prizes for the winners of the traditional dance competition. Each of the characters has a reason to attend, and as the time grows closer, their stories intersect. A glimpse into the world of urban Natives. Heart wrenching. #booked2022 #titlerepeatsitself

Cinfhen This was a really impressive debut! I‘m excited to see what the author does next 🤓 2y
DivineDiana @Cinfhen Yes! When this was One Book Philadelphia, I attended a program at Museum of the Revolution that tied in with the book. It was great! Our group toured exhibits related to Natives and we would stop periodically and listen to readings from the book. It has been sitting on my shelf. If it wasn‘t for Booked2022, it would still be there! 2y
Librarybelle I have this on my to read list and hope to read it for the same #Booked2022 prompt! 2y
Cinfhen That‘s so cool, Diane!!! I don‘t think I‘ve ever been to that museum. 2y
DivineDiana @cinfhen It only opened in 2017. 🙂 2y
Cinfhen That explains it then 😉 2y

This is a collection of short stories in a variety of genres. I thought most of the stories were interesting, but a couple did make me realize again I really don't like horror. #Booked2022 #TitleRepeatsItself @Cinfhen @4thhouseontheleft @BarbaraTheBibliophage

Cinfhen Horror is very hit or miss for me. But when done “right” I LOVE IT!!! 3y

Unfortunately, I thought the 2nd book in the Tita Rosie‘s Kitchen series was a bit lackluster. I did like that the author delved into mental health and PTSD, but the writing felt stilted and the story moved pretty slowly. I‘ll still give the 3rd book a try because I love the characters!

#HelloKitty hasn‘t left my side this week. She misses #Isabel too. #catsofLitsy😿🫶🏼

Bookzombie I‘m so sorry about Isabel. 💕 3y

One that I‘ve been eyeing for quite awhile, which was worth the wait! I love a memoir in essays!! ♥️ and O‘Farrell certainly did not disappoint. Harrowing, but also relatable, these stories of near-death experiences range from medical issues she‘s experienced to violence and even swimming mishaps. Adored Hamnet, which is so different, but makes me want to read her others ASAP. Also, be warned - this can be difficult/traumatic. Read TWs.

Suet624 I liked this one too. Some moving pieces. 3y
Reagan It‘s one of my favourite books. Her writing takes my breath away 3y
Cinfhen I remember being a bit underwhelmed by this one although her writing is gorgeous! Great choice for prompt!! 3y

I did not expect this book to be as humorous as it was.
