My #hyggehourreadathon was delayed a few minutes while I cleaned off my patio chair (dang birds!) but then I read several chapters of the tagged book. It felt like prologue at first, but now I‘m getting into the meat of the story.

Two centuries ago in on a coastal town called Sparrow, Oregon three sisters are accused of being witches and sentence to death by drowning in the ocean. Every summer the sisters come back and take their revenge by drowning luring boys and drowning them.

This story had me hooked. I loved the magical element and the morbid curiosity of tourist who came every summer. And the twist! I was not expecting that!
