pickI just finished this book. This was actually the first time reading this book. It came out in 99, so I had probably moved away from her books by then. I know I had started reading Tolkien in 99, thanks to my stepdad. I enjoyed reading this book. I felt the topics in the book was with the time period at the time. I rated this book a 3 out of 5 stars.
pickUnbearably tense story about two brothers, Jonah, 16, and Simon, 14, who have left home for Arizona where they hope they will be reunited with their older brother, Matt, who has been fighting in the Vietnam War. Unfortunately, they get picked up by Mitch and Lilly and things start to go horribly wrong. I really liked the main characters and their predicament was nail biting.
