Low pick. As an actual coffee table book this would be fantastic, but since that‘s not why I grabbed it there was something lacking. Still, it was cool to see how often books I had on my own shelves showed up, how often the same editions of books were repeated on different contributors‘ shelves, how often a specific book I didn‘t know would reappear, who included books with no markings on the spines, who included art objects, etc… #20in4

So, this book case has been in a back storage room crammed with junk for four years. I am doing a little reorganizing and thought I would liberate it and move it out to where I could actually use it for its intended purpose. The bonus is that I now have room for more books.

Wow! It‘s really Christmas in July today after opening this mega surprise package from my pal @PurpleyPumpkin !
It‘s filled with bookish books, cool bookmarks, magnets, a Wonder Woman trivia card deck, a beautiful journal and more! I may be on a sugar high right now after trying these delicious chocolate truffles from Italy, but I‘m feeling so grateful to Litsy for introducing me to such sweet friends. Organizing my bookshelves took a little longer than I planned. I ended up ordering a fourth bookcase because I liked them so much and I wanted to make sure I had plenty of room for future book purchases. 😆

I really love how they turned out! I‘m so happy that all four bookcases fit along one wall. I love seeing them all lined up! Now I‘m going to spend the next few minutes at my desk to stare at them. 📚📚

My new bookcases arrived yesterday and I spent most of the afternoon assembling them. Now they‘re ready for books! I‘ve been unpacking moving boxes all week and I‘m excited to finally get my books unpacked. Hopefully by the end of a day I‘ll have an “after” pic of my shelves loaded with books. 😀 📚

After having two overflowing boxes of books next to my recliner in the living room, for a really long time, I decided to get this small bookcase. I think it looks way better than an end table and it‘s definitely less expensive and can hold more 😏. So...I‘m thinking of getting another one for the other end of our big couch. We have so many books just everywhere that I would probably fill it up as soon as I put it together. #shelfie

Hooray, my first #shelfie!!! As of last night, I finally have bookshelves in my room for the first time in approximately a million years! I know it might sound crazy to other book nerds that I‘ve gone so long without them, but I used to move every few years and I just got used to hauling my books around in giant plastic bins. It‘s so nice being able to see my books on display and not have to dig through bins in my closet anymore! More below...👇

Organized my #BOTM books by author and officially only have room for one more in this current setup. 😭 My husband is also pushing for this to hold more books, so the rest is a work in progress. I love the look of the squares, but it sure makes it hard to attractively fill them with books because there‘s always the inevitable empty space where no book will fit. #shelfie

I randomly decided to reorganize my books at 1am (as you do). I usually sort by height, and now it‘s sectioned by author. Don‘t quite know how I feel about it yet. Thoughts? How do you arrange your books?

I grew up in a house full of books with a family that made frequent trips to the library. For some reason, I never really thought to buy my own. Any trip to the bookstore was always to add to our collection of schoolbooks (I was homeschooled.) So, to get to start my own collection, and have a bookcase that is all my own...I am just so excited and loving it! All that to say-look at the pretty new lights I just put up! 😍#storytime #mybooks #inlove

It is a grey and cold day in Denmark, I‘m feeling meh and not in a reading mood. But at least I have pretty flowers, pretty books, and leftover brownie in the fridge.

The ideal bookshelf of book cover designer Coralie Bickford-Smith. In her essay she speaks of the thrill she gets repackaging classic books. Of Dracula she says she used the pattern of garlic flowers noting that the heroine wears them to stop Dracula and Coralie used them to cover the book to wreath it and keep the evil in. This is such a great book to dive in and out of- who isn‘t interested in other people‘s bookshelves?📚💖
