Why aren‘t more people talking about this series? It‘s so much fun! So fluffy, so spicy, and monsters (friendly ones)! If you are a fan of, or looking for an introduction to monster romance I highly recommend this series. But WARNING!! It‘s as hot & spicy as it is sweet and fluffy. Think: a habanero marshmallow… with horns… or maybe tentacles 🤷‍♀️
5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommend

My recent introduction to Kimberly Lemming‘s work has sent me down a rabbit hole of monster romance and I honestly couldn‘t be more delighted. After more than a year of a reading slump (just couldn‘t go there mentally or emotionally) I am relishing this reading frenzy again for as long as it lasts.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️A great end to the Brown Sisters series. I lol‘d 80% of the time. And when the “conflict” hit I actually closed the book, shoved it under my mattress, and fumed around my kitchen for an hour (a reaction I‘ve not had to a story in a very long time). Eve is a true delight of a character, and Jacob was the perfect “straight man” to her antics, and he brought a surprising but very welcome dose of intense sexiness .

Liatrek I can‘t wait to read this one 🙂 3y

This book has me laughing sooo hard 🤣🤣 Completely delightful and does not disappoint as of yet!
Excerpt:
This human bloody WRECKING BALL—
“did you know you‘re speaking out loud?” The demoness asked.
This gorgeous fucking NITWIT—
“Is this negging? Are you negging me right now?”

I had high hopes for this but was left sadly unsatisfied. Rena & Axel@could have been great with some effort but between the barely-there plot, and some questionable character descriptions, it fell mostly flat. I teeter between a “so-so” and a “pan”, but there were just enough cutesy moments for me to go “eh!”. If your looking for a very fluffy read with a HEA to whisk your mind away from all the world‘s crazy, it‘ll do.

Apparently, I have a new favorite author. This book.... THIS 👏🏿 BOOK 👏🏿!!! The humor, the heat, the writing... everything about this was perfection. I devoured this book in 3 days, and I wasn‘t even halfway through before I ordered “Take A Hint Dani Brown”. I‘m perfectly aware that I‘m late to the game, but I‘m here now, I absolutely STAN @taliahibbert and love the Brown sisters.

I loved this addition to the series. It was refreshing to see an older woman of color as the center of a love story; showing joy and happiness and success. I literally caught myself smiling and laughing along with the characters. It was the perfect escape I needed from all the awfulness of the world.
Jasmine Guillory‘s writing is a delightful treasure that this terrible world does not deserve!

Welp! Absolutely delightful! I STAN Johan and Nya forever and am prepared to die on this hill. This was a wonderful read with hidden depths about loss and mourning (of people and of self), self discovery, finding strength in vulnerability... it was truly surprising, but not overwhelmingly earnest. It was exactly the escape I needed while the world is terrible; a relief of my quarantine fatigue

I was so disappointed I had to bail on this one, but I just COULD NOT get into it at all. I really enjoyed Duke By Default, and more recently Can‘t Escape Love, so I had high hopes for this one. I‘m keeping my fingers crossed for A Prince On Paper 🤞

Such a fun read! If you are looking for a light read that‘s fun and sweet and offers an escape from the daily horrors and stresses, check this out. It‘s a short novella, but the characters are really fleshed out. You don‘t have to have read the other 3 previous books in the Reluctant Royals series, but I think it would definitely help if you‘ve read Duke by Default, which I also enjoyed.

I‘m still not sure how I feel about this book. On one hand it was light and fun enough, and I liked the side characters of Chase & Amanda Walker, but... I have big issues with main characters Holly & Logan. Maybe it‘s because times are a changin and the mindset a few years ago was nowhere near as pro body positivity as it is today. If you take with a grain of salt it‘s fun enough.

For such a great story, this was a really quick read. I don‘t know how it‘s possible, but I think I love Khai and Esme (My) even more than I love Michael and Stella. This read wasn‘t as “lusty” as The Kiss Quotient, but I found it to be more lovey 💕. Ms. Hoang has really hit her stride with character development in this second book; two beautifully complex, strong characters are to brought to life with an equally beautiful and emotional story.

annahenke I love these two books! She's one of my fave new authors. 5y

Holy forking shirtballs, was this a good read. I loved the authors writing style, but the story was truly good. It was light like a rom-com but not just fluff. The characters were so well formed, even the side characters, that I could see them walking around in real life. I can‘t wait to read more by her.

Real talk, you guys. I don‘t think me and this book are going to make it 🙁. I‘m only about six chapters in (and that has been a struggle) and I‘m not invested in the story or any of the characters, and to top it all off I just read the word “quotidian” used by a character who doesn‘t seem like the type to use that word in the way they used it. I‘m not in love with this book. I‘m not even in like; I‘m in indifference.

BOOK CRUSH ALERT! an absolutely delightful read! Don is a uniquely charming character with humor & nuance, whose social struggles are played to hilarious and relatable effect. Rosie could've easily been a Manic Pixie Dream girl trope but instead Graeme takes that and mashes it with the fire & intelligence of a Grey's Anatomy Callie Torres character. This is definitely in my top 5 #summerreading list.

I look forward to Chicago's Printers' Row Lit Fest ALL YEAR! I got to attend 2 great author events (#SamanthaIrby #ScaachiKoul and #JennyAllen in conversation with #TriciaBobeda of #nerdettepodcast , and #LuvvieAjayi in conversation with #LollyBowean), and I went on a pretty sweet (though conservative by my standards) book spree. Life is good!

KtheBookwyrm I went for the first time this year! I didn't get to attend any of the talks or workshops but I did get to browse though some of the stalls 7y
FeastingOnFiction @KtheBookwyrm that's the best part imho. The author events are just a bonus. Though if you go again next year I highly recommend going to one. The tix are usually free and they always have some great authors attending who then sign their books. Schedules are posted well in advance for convenience 🙂 7y

Finished this good read during my usual lunch & lit. Loved this book! The movie definitely varies from the book in some areas but the heart and tone are the same. The writing was surprisingly beautiful for the genre which I think is what I enjoyed most. If your a fan of zombie stories, or stories with heart, or romances, or you liked the movie... I highly recommend this book.

This was a fun light read. As a fan of foodie fiction I enjoyed reading about the food history and culture of China, a cuisine I have not yet explored beyond the Americanized version (which I'm to understand is as close to the real thing as banana flavored laffy taffy is to a real banana). The characters were engaging and the writing was well done.

#WTFTHATENDING Pinborough shows that while love stories are all well & good, a toxic love story is much more fun to read. I was completely intrigued until the very end where I found myself completely SHOOK. I actually finished a few days ago but had to go back to reread that ending a few more times with a stiff drink. Didn't help though as I am still in a perpetual state of WTF (in a good way!).

She's that bff who in their love for you will NOT allow you to get away with ANYTHING! She will call you on your BS and then read you until you do better. Making you & the world, better for it.
