Why didn't this make me cry? Everyone cried reading it! I know it's sad and I feel for Conor but I couldn't feel what he felt or cry when he cried. I loved the tales and the story but maybe not enough! I was really hoping to read a cry worthy book! ☹️

#JanuaryTBR already done with three of these books. Finding Audrey was the first book of the year and it was unfortunately quite disappointing. But the other two, The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe AND Kindred Spirits were ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. I'm still waiting for A monster calls. Can't wait to cry and wail in pain!

These two books made me fall in love with Murakami. As soon as I finished the Norwegian Wood I rushed to a bookshop to get Kafka on the Shore. Such good writing and plot!

I really struggled initially, say 200 pages or so but now I'm determined to finish the book in a day. Or two, maybe. (Though there are some scenes which are argh but it was the 18th century so yeah I get it!)
