Another book by this trio of authors that I could not put down.A ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️read. The authors‘intertwined 3 women connected by birth & a “magical”family tailsman. These women live in different eras that demand different choices of them:1914/WWI; 1942/WWII;1964.Though not necessarily aware of each other, each is haunted by unresolved connections they have to each other. The gorgeous Ritz hotel in Paris is the stage for all 3 women as well.#literarycrew
Let the discussion begin for this month‘s #LiteraryCrew #BuddyRead ! I‘ve posted 8 questions under the spoiler - you can find them either on my feed or the book‘s feed.
To me, this is another captivating story by the three authors!
Anything else you wish to discuss, comment below. If it‘s a spoiler, don‘t forget to use the spoiler option.
Thanks for participating!
8. Were you satisfied with how each of the heroine‘s stories unfolded? Would you have changed anything about the way things ended for them? From Reading Guide #LiteraryCrew #BuddyRead
7. What role does the Hotel Ritz play in each of the heroine‘s stories? From the Reading Guide #LiteraryCrew #BuddyRead
6. Besides Aurelie, Babs, and Daisy, there are supporting characters in their stories that help shape the women and their decisions, sometimes not in a good way (I‘m thinking of the horrid Pierre!). Are there any standouts to you? #LiteraryCrew #BuddyRead
5. In order to throw off the Germans, Aurelie‘s father comes up with a plan to send her back to Paris with word that she has retrieved the talisman…What does the talisman represent to Aurelie and her family, and France? Is it truly a magical object? Adapted from the Reading Guide #LiteraryCrew #BuddyRead
4. Throughout the novel Babs is constantly reminded of the ghosts from the past. Does Babs truly break free from them? What about the other women in the novel? Who are their ghosts? Adapted from the Reading Guide #LiteraryCrew #BuddyRead
3. How is Daisy like her mother, or not like her? Does that change over the course of the novel? Adapted from the Reading Guide #LiteraryCrew #BuddyRead
2. How does Aurelie‘s lineage define her? Does that work in her favor or against her? Adapted from Reading Guide #LiteraryCrew #BuddyRead
1. The dynamic trio of Williams, Willig, and White have collaborated on other books - #LiteraryCrew read The Forgotten Room and The Glass Ocean, and both (in my opinion) are just as compelling. Have you read any of their collaborations before? Any of their own books (we‘ve also read quite a few by Willig!)?
Incidentally, their latest, The Lost Summers of Newport, just came out!

Finished in time for #LiteraryCrew discussion. I loved this multiple timeline historical fiction. Looking forward to hearing everyone else‘s thoughts.
An epic story excellently woven together through formative moments of three separate women. I was enthralled with the mystery from the first chapter and found it difficult to put down. Each of the women were strong but complicated in their own right but I didn‘t find any of their stories lacking. The supporting cast is wonderful and adds to the depth of the novel. Highly recommend! Early morning coffee. “Time spent reading is never wasted.” Roald Dahl quote from the mug my sister gave me. 📚❤️☕️

182 pages in and I cannot put this down.
Check in time for this month‘s #LiteraryCrew #BuddyRead ! I‘ve seen some completed reads already…I do love their books!
Don‘t forget that discussion questions will be posted on May 31st!
I know this was supposed to last the month but I started it a little early and then the characters just wouldn‘t let me go! So much emotion! I giggled a couple of times and yes, needed Kleenex more than once. These three authors are auto buys for me and they delivered once again. I‘m looking forward to the discussion! #Literarycrew #buddyread @Librarybelle

Misty! I'm really looking forward to reading this! I love Beatriz Williams and Lauren Willig, and the other book I've read by all three was really good, so I know this one is going to be good! Thank you so much!! @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks
This audiobook was amazing!! We get to view Paris and the Ritz through the lives of 3 enigmatic and inspiring women, one during WWI, one during WWII, and one in the 60s. They are tied together by threads that it takes a while to see but, once you do, you feel for these characters and admire them even more than you already did. I would love to have gotten an authors note detailing what might be real! Touching and beautiful story! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
My 2020 Christmas books 🥰 2021 is going to start out with some great reads!!
This book follows three women in 3 different time periods, World War I, World War II, and the 1960s, all connected by a famous talisman and their distinct bravery, courage, and hope. I loved the depth of the characters, trying to unravel the mysteries between their connections, and the ways they impacted others through their kindness.
I totally forgot to say this!! Part of this book is set in Picardie France. My maiden name is Pickard - this is where my ancestors came from. Also, book lovers - lots of reference to books and a bookstore in this story. 🇫🇷📖📚
I had a hard time getting into this. But I think that was me - busy with work and other things on my mind. Once I got past that I enjoyed this immensely! I love the collaboration of these 3 authors. Together or on their own - they never disappoint.
We‘re at the beach. I always think I‘m going to get a lot of reading done but I‘ve been too busy looking for treasures. And we took a break to move our youngest into college. 💙🦁🤍
No!! Not ready at all. August still holds so much activity for us. We have - family dinner, funeral, vacation, move youngest into college, my birthday!! And summer goes 3 weeks into September. It‘s really my favorite time of year.
Tagged - I‘m enjoying it.

Their books always start so slow for me. This one was the same. But I liked the turns the book started to take, if not as engrossed by the romances. Which is very unlike me.
Team W has done it again! I really enjoyed this multi-generational tale set in France during WWI, WWII, and the 1960s. and filled with strong women, a mystery to keep you reading, and sweeping family sagas. The transitions between writers were so seamless, I could never tell when one author stopped and another started. This story will truly transport you.
I was given this book by the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
Book #4 since social distancing. Not mad about trading in Happy Hour for some extra reading time though. I‘ve been on a historical fiction kick lately. The Nightingale is on my TBR list book I‘m looking for any other recommendations!
Three strong women characters, three eloquent women authors, an intricately woven story and a magnificent hotel. What could be better? The writing was superb and the story was mesmerizing. https://www.bluestockingreviews.com/post/all-the-ways-we-said-goodbye
I say, I think the title of my book is rather ironic for those who celebrate Valentines Day 🥰
Only half way through listening to this new release audio. I've always been a fan of Beatriz Williams and Karen White-and they are not disappointing me with this historical novel that intertwines the two world wars that take place in France, in particular focused around The Ritz❤️
