Good red riding hood retelling. Amazing world building, and a brilliant mix of action, magic, mystery and romance. Loved the MC and the enemies to lovers romance. Plot twists were unexpected and the ending was well drawn out and HEA.

4/5 for this great dark retelling! I loved this dark Little Red Riding Hood retelling. Rachelle and Armand are great characters. Their romance is not instant nor is it easy. I loved it. I will definitely be reading more by this author.

This book was VERY different from the classic Little Red Riding Hood story, but that only added to the creativity of it. Cruel Beauty (the first book in the series) definitely took creative licence with Beauty and the Beast, and this book was no different. Crimson Bound took a classic fairy tale and instead of just running with it, she sprinted (not to be dramatic😂), and it really paid off in this incredibly unique 2nd installment to the series.

More complex than Cruel Beauty, though still a relatively light read. I guessed some “twists”, but not all of them. Good writing style, characters, and humor. The end is satisfying.

“Rachelle was starting to think that Endless Night might not be so bad. At least there would be no giggling. Screams and blood and dying, yes, but no polite little giggles.” 😂

I love this book! I didn't think it was possible for this book to be better than Cruel Beauty, but it blew me away. I'm a big fan of fairy tale retellings, and Rosamond Hodge took the general idea of Red Riding Hood and completely transformed it. I'm a little disappointed that this book is a standalone, but that's only because I want more! I've been hesitant to start Bright Smoke, Cold Fire but I think it's time to start that series.

I really liked this book. The flow stuttered a few times but it was still so good that I read it in the last 2 days.

I was in tears by the end of this book. Rosamund Hodge does it again. All the stars. All the recommends.

Loving this so far 👑Also Hello after so long. I took a small break from Litsy, but I'm happy to be back and posting again.

Didnt love it didn't hate it. It went very slow and I just couldn't connect to the characters. Once it started picking up the pace I just lost my interest.

So, I've recently finished Crimson Bound by Rosamund Hodge. I haven't looked at other people's reviews of this book however, I really enjoyed it. Hodge took aspects from a popular children's story and turned it into something amazing. I really enjoyed the whole concept of the book, I do feel that there could have been a lot more character development though. Overall, 4.5/5⭐️

Finished this book and loved it just as much as the first one! Definitely would recommend to anyone who loves a good fairy tale reworking. I loved how the author worked in the story of red riding hood combined with the influences of the French court and the various royals in 17th to 18th century France. As a history and fantasy buff, I loved it. Definitely hoping she will do more of these books!

So much to do today, but figured I would start the day with a bit of reading beside my lovely birthday bouquet
