This was a very engaging read. I always wondered what a woman married to Churchill would be like. This woman was so impressive and I have mad respect for who she was and how she helped Churchill. Highly recommend this read.

Excellent read!! 5☆📚
A look at the fascinating life of Clementine Churchill nee Hosier. From supporting the voting rights of women, organising major charity projects during the war, she refused to be pushed into the background. 4🌟
Thanks to NetGalley & publishers, Quarto Publishing Group - White Lion Publishing, for the opportunity to read an ARC. #NetGalley
My interest in Clementine was peeked when I watched Masterpiece's Churchills Secret. What a fascinating lady. This book did not disappoint.
Having lunch with Mrs. Churchill! The book is great so far, but I'm not out of her childhood yet.
#LitsyAtoZ #LetterC I highly recommend this book! A biography of Mrs. Churchill, it is also a probing look at her marriage, her parenting, and her rich and turbulent times. Using correspondence, interviews, and archival material, Purnell paints a compelling picture of Clementine as a strong but anxious woman who was instrumental in the life and works of Winston Churchill. In fact, without her, he would have surely self-destructed. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A fascinating look into the life of a woman, a marriage, & an important time in history.
I am thoroughly enjoying this biography of Clementine Churchill -- this is an example why! It's an engaging mix of biography, excerpts from letters, and history. I'm entertained AND also learning a lot. 👍🏼#LitsyAtoZ #LetterC
Continuing with my #LetterC book for #LitsyAtoZ -- it dovetails quite well with The Crown, the Netflix series we've been watching.
I consider myself fairly well-educated, but this surprised me. I didn't know that at the beginning of WWI, the British coast had been bombarded. (So much I need to learn!)
At our happy place @TheBookmarkPR 👍🏼💕
