Two new books one a brand new series perfect way to start my 2020 reading adventure let the fun begin ❤️📚
pickGood, all action thriller. Thought there was good character development which draw you into the goodies and baddies, though some of those aren‘t revealed properly until the end.
Not surprised to find it‘s going to be a series - will watch out for the next one 👍🏻
So tomorrow I am heading down to #Bouchercon in St. Petersburg Florida, just outside of Tampa. It is a fantastic reader focussed con. If you are in the area or at the con feel free to say hello. I will be manning the International Thriller Writers table and am on a few panels.
For all my Litsy friends in Toronto, I will be doing a signing at the Yonge and Eglinton Chapters tomorrow, Saturday Aug 25, with my good friend Debbie Levison, author of the true crime book “The Crate.” We will be there from one to four, please feel free to drop by and say hello.
Almost finished with part 1 and just starting to hear Nico‘s story. Aaagh! I‘m going to cry, aren‘t I, @KJHowe ? I am really enjoying the book so far. I am so impressed with the story, the detail, the female MC (we really needed her in this genre)...no wonder it won the international thriller award!

The easiest day so far for me. I go with my amazing wife #kjhowe whose Freedom Broker just won Best First Novel form the International Thriller Writers and is nominated for others.
Her favourite book is The Brotherhood of the Rose by David Morrel.
The pic is her with her editor Nathaniel Marunas when she won the award. Editors never get enough credit but they do such much to create the books we love.
I had to use some Audible credits so I went to my tbr list in Litsy and listened to the Audible samples, and these were my picks! I‘m so excited, especially about the tagged book. I love thrillers; I‘m excited the MC is a woman, the book has very strong reviews on Amazon and Litsy, and its author @KJHowe is on Litsy!
With amazing reviewer and thriller trivia master Ali Karim of Shots Magazine at the Harrogate Crime Writing Festival. Ali always has the inside scoop on what is going on in the industry and his enthusiasm knows no bounds. Not sure what happened with this photo but the light makes him look a little like an alien from Dr. Who. The question is, what kind?

I was totally shocked and honoured to win the Thriller Award for Best First Novel for #thefreedombroker at #thrillerfest last night. I wasn‘t sure they were really calling my name and it hasn‘t even sunken in this morning yet! It was an unforgettable and magical evening, made even more so by the friendship of my ITW family, the support of my husband #rjhowe and the warm congratulations of this year‘s Thrillermaster, George R. R. Martin.
With the amazing R.L. Stine at the #thrillerfest bookstore today. A giant of the industry and the kindest man.

My amazing team gathers to get #Thrillerfest underway. We are fueled up and ready to go! Today we host the ATF who will brief writers on current issues and challenges.
The Freedom Broker is currently supposed to be on sale for $ 2.99 but due to a glitch it is currently $2.30 on amazon.com. I have no idea when this will get corrected.
This novel is a finalist for the Best First Novel Thriller Award and the Barry Award for Best Thriller of 2017. Library Journal named it one of the top five Thrillers of 2017.
Thea Paris is a strong female protagonist with diabetes and family problems. A great summer read.

In a bit of a reading funk. Hoping this will be the one to pull me out!
pickA solid thriller with many strong women (not all good, but that's fine). Some unexpected but not unthinkable plot twists throughout made this a fun read. A few nits, for an author who purports to be an "avid researcher," she got some minor facts wrong.
But, I'll read the next one.
