The story itself isn‘t anything new (Grunhilda is supposed to be a mean old witch, but she‘s bad at being a witch - & she‘s especially bad at being mean. It‘s a common device: take a stereotype & flip it) - but I really enjoyed the art & the characters. The muted, dingy colors are punctuated every now & again by a single bright splash (like the candy pink of a blown bubblegum bubble). I chuckled/snorted quite a bit. I‘d read another volume.
Packing for an overnight. Yup. AN overnight. I know you feel me.
Comics packed in observation of the #LetsGetGraphicWeeklongMarathon, hosted by @Clwojick & @TricksyTails — it starts *today!*
Did somebody say OCTOBER? 🎃💀
Last month, I had to read a graphic novel for the book club at work . This was a quick, cute and fun read.
Looking forward to this months anything spooky/creepy/suspenseful theme. Duh, we cheated and didn't even pull a genre out a box like usual.
Lunch is happening today 😀😀 in the British Library. My meeting is round the corner so have a quick lunch ( and been in shop) !!
I feel this deep within my soul.
I'm pretty sure this is Litsy's fault, but I'm not sure. I have no idea why wanted to read this. But suddenly it was there, waiting for me at he library. We may never know. But it sure looks fun!
This book looks dreary but it is laugh aloud funny. Pick it up if you see it at your local comic book shop! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I am the Ms. Grunhilda Blackheart, aka The Lunch Witch, and my coworker is Ladybug Girl! Happy Halloween!
#CharacterIdDressUpAs and will both tomorrow and Monday...Ms. Grunhilda the Black Heart! So excited. I'll post pictures as soon as I can. 😉 #booktober
AHHHHHHHHH! I love The Lunch Witch. Excited for an animated film!!! 💗
Dobby and I are rereading all the Harry Potters before jumping into Cursed Child, but we are loving this, too!! So fun and funky. 🍽
Weird & wacky, creepy & creative. Dark humor. This is marketed as #1, so I'm hoping there will be more...
Read this at lunch. I adored it! It's about an unemployed witch who takes a job as a cafeteria worker. Really looking forward to the sequel.
