🎧 I really enjoyed Detective Luc Moncrief.

The mystery, the inheritance, the friendship between Luc & Catherine. I enjoyed the last 20% of the book. The eating of each course of a 7 course meal at different restaurants was fun.

I ‘m glad that I have a Poirot book coming up.

⭐️⭐️ this was a pretty bad book if you ask me. I hated the main character, and thought that he was, actually, a pretty bad detective and an obvious attempt to be Poirot that did NOT work. #wintergames2020 #merryreaders

I wasn‘t a big fan of this. It was more about the detective than the mystery, which would normally be fine. This is tough because I generally don‘t like super cold weather and am perfectly content with my family in Florida. But...if we‘re living in a fantasy world here, I‘d go with jetting off to Paris on Christmas Eve and dining at several five-star restaurants with my rich and handsome friend, a la the tagged book. 😆 Why not? 🎄

The best thing about this book was its fast pace. The mystery was solved by 50% and then a romance. Sort of? I‘m not a lover of mystery anymore. Perhaps I would have enjoyed this more when I was younger and into the genre.

Well, November is here and I‘ve already finished my first Christmas book! 😬 Thought I might as well get started early! 🤷🏻‍♀️

Some of these bookshots are hit or miss, but I love the ones with the French detective Luc Moncrief and his very American partner, K. Burke. These are short and well-paced, and we even got to take a quick jaunt to Paris for Christmas Eve. Love these characters. 4⭐️

I could‘ve saved this one until Christmas, but my hold came up... so I figured I‘d listen to it early. As always, I love these BookShots and want to get my hands on ALL of them! Enjoyable and fast paced. #TeamSlaughter

So far I‘m enjoying this bookshot a lot more than the $10,000,000 Marriage Proposal. Great short audiobook, enjoying the narrator!
