Started to question why I love these so much. They are predictable and very little really happens. But Wodehouse‘s writing and turns of phrase are wonderful. I wonder whether if I listen to enough of them, I may be able to emulate him in speech. How wonderful that would be.

pickLoved this story about Jeeves and Wooster, as usual. It was a fun and quick read.
What I didn‘t like is this edition of the book I got from Amazon, unfortunately too long ago to return. It looks like someone scanned a digital copy in and reprinted it. There are no paragraph breaks, the text is tiny and it looks cheap. Avoid this one if you‘re looking for this book anywhere. I found a good copy at BAM I‘ll be ordering soon.
My first selection for #20Series20Days is the goofy duo of Jeeves and Wooster. They can always be relied upon for a good chuckle and a quick comfort read. Right??

pickSo this turned out to be an unexpected little gem! I‘ve never read anything by Wodehouse before but I found this on Hoopla and thought it might be a good book to fall asleep by. It was sorta hilarious! #audiobooks
pickA joy as ever. Woodhouse manages to cram each story with ridiculous silliness that is funny despite its familiarity. Bertie gets himself into scrapes and Jeeves gets him out, but, as ever, only if his employer makes concessions in his wardrobe and/or habits. There are some very odd cover choices for this volume...
That‘s about all the shades of purple I can pull off from the shelves.

pickQuite a delight. It felt like maybe the story was stretched a bit far to turn it into a novel but that may be because I just read a series of Jeeves & Wooster short stories that were very fast-paced.

pickThis was my first P. G. Wodehouse book and boy, I loved it. The plot was engaging in a relaxing way and the characters were hilarious. I told my parents that if they're ever bored while I'm in college and in need of a laugh, to pick up this book!

In other news I'm drowning myself in a bottle of red wine because Denmark did indeed not win, despite my words of law. But Norway won the gosh darn championship, which means it's celebratory wine. That makes it all okay.

Started listening to this one yesterday. I love me some Wodehouse and Jonathan Cecil's narration is just delightful.
Background: Augustus Fink-Nottle, on his way to a costume party, with a devil costume on under his overcoat, has just discovered that he has no money to pay his cab fare. He tries to flee the cab. This ensues:
