pickI adored this little book. It‘s a little like Holes, with an old family curse that needs to be resolved, but the way the author weaves the story is truly magical. A great story for elementary/middle grade level, but anyone can read and enjoy this one. And, it‘s my #doublespin for January!

Found a quick, magical book to escape with for the weekend. Has been on my TBR pile for a while now...
pickwoah!! this book surprised me in so many ways! the plot shocked me with many plot twists and moments that made the story super interesting and enjoyable. the characters were very detailed and made A Snicker of Magic even better. i‘m not usually a fantasy book person but this was the perfect mix. a must read!!

I've been listening to this and halfway through, I'm ready to DNF. It's on the saccharine side of precocious and eye-rollingly so. Anybody have thoughts? Worth sticking with?

pickThis book is a wonderful story about family, friendship, and magic. I really enjoyed this story about a family trying to find their home in the southern town of Midnight Gulch! I loved how each character in the story had something important to contribute. I highly recommend this book especially on audio.
There is always Scout as #childprotagonist, but I am choosing Felicity Pickle - she has magic; she sees words everywhere. She on a quest to restore magic to Midnight Gulch so her mother can stop her wandering...and they can be home. bailedI wanted to like this book. For some reason I just couldn't finish it. It's been on my TBR list for a year so I was bummed when I couldn't finish reading it.
