Home alone! The above moment of happiness is what the day is going to contain after putting a roast in the slow cooker, giving the puppy a bath and making a side trip to the bookstore to find the good book, because, of course, I‘m not satisfied with the good books that I already own. That‘s an unnatural way of thinking.🤪
Oh my goodness! See what a day off will do to my absolute lounging meter. Topple it over 💯. I‘ve been on Litsy all morning long, but I‘m not sure what else I would have been doing. It is cold and snowy outside. Okay so maybe the laundry.🧺 Hmm...maybe not.
I‘m gonna go read a book and drink hot chocolate.☕️

☀️ I love long road trip drives in my car with the windows down and music blasting from the speakers...on the way to a cool destination or sometimes even nowhere... just a drive.

Saturday afternoon. Just got paid yesterday. Bills handled this morning. All chores done or at least the ones I feel like doing. I'm going out. You know the destination. I shall find MUCH happiness today!

The entire house is quiet. Even the air is still outside. How long can this last? I could be concerned about this type of solitude, but I'm too excited about being pulled into a good story.

I cannot remember how I discovered Litsy , but what an amazing blessing for me. I am so happy to know the folks that I do and anticipate with utmost excitement the acquaintances that I have yet to make. I am humbled by your interactions with me (the likes, the comments, the tags, the follows)...it is a new experience to me and I can‘t believe how much I enjoy it. I ordered these lovelies from my wish list from Book Depository. They were ordered in one go, but showed up One. At. A. Time.
Finally all here and headed to my shelf. Many #blameitonlitsy recommendations as well as earlier books of authors I enjoyed.
It's been a long time since I've had such a good day. I cleaned my house, I did all my laundry, I read The Pearl & The Old Man and the Sea, and I took an hour walk listening to The Lumineers & one of my favorite albums, Automatic for the People. Nothing extraordinary happened, but yet it did. I'm happy & content. Here's to more days just like this.
There is a badge or trophy for reading The Pearl & The Old Man and the Sea the same day, right? 😂
