Very disappointed as I wanted to love this but I was mostly bored.

Alternating between these two and finishing off a non fiction audio book for the rest of the week. I've never read any Holly Black before so will see how it goes.
Tom Caterford loves rubbing his nose on my books. Time for some spooky reads! I can‘t lie, this was for sure a cover buy. #bookswithmytabby
@PirateJenny is one of the most amazing people ever! Thank you so much for this belated birthday and Christmas package! It made my day to get a surprise package of books 📚
I do not know if this counts for GARISH but I've recently completed my Penguin Horror collection and I absolutely love the creepy covers and design. I had most of these books in paperback but I really couldn't resist. #horror #uncannyoctober @RealLifeReading
Expectation versus Reality brought to you by my cat Spook #catsoflitsy
Sorry I've been quiet of late. I've been ill and not reading much. Missed my book time! So here's a little #bookmail.
Shame I've already done A in my #LitsyAtoZ lol
I just had to post an image of big Steve (taken from Google). He was greatly inspired by many of the authors in this collection. This collection is a good introduction to American weird fiction. So give it a try and see if you like it. 🐸🐙
I am currently on page 209 in this great collection. I'm still feeling like a hot mess so I called into work again. I feel guilty as sin for it. Why are we made to feel guilty about taking time off to take care of ourselves? Going in feeling crappy just makes the situation worse.
Currently I am on page 151. Boy am I ever a hot mess today. I am not at the big monthly sale selling books. I came down with a cold last night. But the the thing that blows is that I have surgery this week. I hope it doesn't get postponed. I can't take any medicine so I am just swilling hot water like crazy.
I am currently on page 117 and getting read for some Lovecraft.
I am finally getting around to this one.
This is a fantabulous collection well chosen by Joshi and with an excellent intro by del Toro in this hardcover edition.
Personal note: I am a production editor at Penguin Books and I worked on both the original edition and the new one with the del Toro intro. I visited the del Toro exhibit at LACMA today and saw this. My life is complete.
*door creaks, ominous organ music plays* Time for #ghostsoflitsy! We are kicking off tomorrow through 12/22/16. There are 3 ways to participate:
1. Every week, I'll post 3-4 short story suggestions with sources. I'll create a dedicated discussion for it every 2-3 days.
2. Every 3 weeks, I'll post a suggested book with a discussion day.
3. Both! Or do your own thing using the various spooky hashtags.
Get ready for a ghostly good time! #muhahaha
Behold, my "fiscal irresponsibility knows no bounds" haul. Dave Ramsey is giving me mad side-eye right now.
First night in our first house. No furniture, no decorations, no internet. Only ghost stories and the groans of a Douglas fir floor.
