Locking in that last spooky read for October! I love Crouch and how he plays with genetics, DNA, future technology and how good intentions can quickly turn evil. From this book I can see why it was made into a TV show, as it basically ends on a season finale cliff hanger. It‘s tense, it‘s interesting. Crouch is a go-to for a good ride.

I‘ll be picking up the last in the trilogy next!

Remember when I started this trilogy? Nope, because it was pre-Litsy, I‘m sure (maybe?) (2016). Finishing my last trilogy in my goal to clear all my ‘started‘ series that have been sitting on my TBR pile. I‘m late in my spooky reads but it‘s never too late right?!

Very good - second book in the Wayward Pines trilogy. Ethan must decide to get in line with the Pine way of life or tell the townspeople the truth - I enjoyed this even more than the first book in the series and have already started the final book - I have to see how this ends.

Started this one immediately on the heels of finishing the 1st in the series. This one had a somewhat different feel. Whereas book #1 had a lot of wtf moments where I was trying to figure out what in the heck was going on, most of that had been resolved by the end, and this book explained more of what the town was going to do about it. The first half was a little slow, but when it picked up, I was all in for the second half.

marleed Oh my gosh I just posted about this one, too! I finished book 1 just last week and will start The Last Town this evening. My library just purchased the series on audiobook and that‘s how it came on my radar. 12mo

I jumped into this one as if I was a cameras positioned over Wayward Pines. As much as I liked figuring out what was going down in Boo1, I was more invested in Book2 since I understood the way in which Wayward Pines exists, I could concentre on the people within its strict borders. Why in the new world would Filcher deliberately take people involved in marital affairs 2000 years into his future? Well, maybe because it makes for a great story!

Another 5 Stars for Blake Crouch! This is the 2nd book in the Wayward Pines Trilogy. Former Federal Agent is now Sheriff of Wayward Pines. More mystery, twists and what‘s going to happen next will make you plow through this book like a freight train. About to start Book 3. I don‘t think I will get much sleep tonight 😂

The second book in the Wayward Pines series finds Ethan as sheriff trying to figure out who to trust, what to do, and whether or not to believe in a fringe revolutionary group. Crouch builds the tension masterfully, causing me to delay my dog walking to finish the book. Additionally, I will now be reading book 3 immediately instead of the other books I had planned because I. Must. Know. What. Happens!

I thought this was a little better than the first in the series. And of course this ended with a couple of cliffhangers so I‘ll need to read the 3rd book soon!

Wow! I read this in about 6 hours, I just couldn‘t stop. Gripping from page one, a murder mystery in a town that‘s not what it seems. If you haven‘t read the first book in this series do so before reading this. Seriously so much book is packed into just 298 pages.

If you‘re looking for a quick, fast paced ride, Blake Crouch is your man. I‘m convinced I would love everything he‘s written. This is the second book in the Wayward Pines trilogy, and I love how seamlessly he moved between the first two books. I also love the idyllic, Pleasantville vibe of the town and residents. I typically don‘t read books in series back to back, but I‘m definitely tempted to get to book 3 ASAP. #ripxii bk 8

As I expected, this second book was outstanding and maybe even terrifying than the first.

Now on to the third and last book in the series.

I actually think I liked this sequel more than the first book! The pacing is much faster, and while it's not a standalone novel in anyway (#HolyCliffhanger!) I really enjoyed this- and the performer's voice has grown on me! #AudioColoring

Found these two beauts at my local dollerama. How could I say no to a $3 book! I definately miss the days of garage sales though. I also purchased the first book in the "pines" at dollerama as well. Dont know really anything about the other book. Other than the blurb, still looks entertaining. Score! #muchlove

Somehow this series just doesn't grab me. It has all the right ingredients: science, an apocalyptic event, government conspiracy and even some type of vampire thing/monster. Something is just missing 😕. I hope his new one, Dark Matter, is better.

I liked book #2 of this series just as much as the first. Both books are creepy, but Wayward is a bit more sinister. I'll definitely read the third book and check out the TV show.

It's a bit paradoxal to share this quote on a social media, but I kind of agree. It would be very difficult to go back to a world without smartphones, but what if we never knew them?
