I finished this one while drinking a homemade maple latte. I know maple in summer? But hey, in Dubai we only have 2 seasons. It‘s either summer or winter (minus the snow) so I‘m guessing it‘s alright. 😂

My January Reading Stats are a bit sad with just 5 books completed during the month, but life threw me some unexpected challenges. I feel like my ability to focus & my reading mojo are finally coming back this week, so I expect February to be better. I had a couple of hours in between meetings & rather than go home and back out, I am getting some work done in another branch of my local coffeeshop and fitting in time for a break. I definitely did not need a slice of cake but when they are slicing up fresh banana-mac nut pound cake, it's hard to resist indulging in a slice--especially when you are reading a foodie cozy set in a bake shop.😋🍰
Feeling lucky this morning as I was given an e-book #ARC for this 7th book in the Bakeshop Mystery cozy series--due out in January.
