This is the love story between Dani O'Malley and Ryodan, added on to what was the end of the Mac Lane series for what reason I don't know. Problems: Dani became intellectually mature before being emotionally mature, which makes for some seriously cringey (although I admit sadly relatable) scenes. Also, f&#k Ryodan, the powerful, manipulative, ruthless, absurdly rich guy that Dani inexplicably puts up with. More romance than fantasy, sadly.

Ladies, what would you do to a bossy, secretive, manipulative man who told you to "clarify your emotions" and tried to "correct" your sense of who you were angry with?! I still like the book and the series, but seriously, Moning! Enough with strong women characters letting men get away with this BS.

Enjoying a lazy Friday off while the rain patters outside. I have found a new excuse to eat my mug cake more often--I decided to package it as a dry mix for holiday gifts and of course that necessitates experimenting with variations! I like this book but it has problems. There is a definite patriarchal, old powerful man knows best for the females in his life theme that really raises my hackles. This author tends to lapse into that.

Reflecting on something that hurts you only prolongs your pain, and when death is involved, the pain is often compounded by a relentless sense of guilt that attacks the moment you start to heal, as if duration of grief somehow proves the depth of your love for the person you lost.

I'm rely wishing I would have stopped after 5. I did it for years but noooooooo I had to finally finish the series 🤦‍♀️

Was this the worst book ever? No. Did I need this book to be written? Absolutely no. I'm not a spin off reader. I like my original stories and the direction that Dani has taken is just...fucking weird. I...don't love it. At all. The Ryodan thing is still icky too.

1. Pretty much everything is evolving becoming super powered except for humans
2. The ship we‘ve all been waiting for finally surfaces….. along with a lot of emotions and a huge surprise 😱😰
3. Christian is crossed off my shit list for now. I‘m becoming fond of the lad.
4. The fairies are too quiet. Shits def about to hit the fan. Grabbing lots of snacks before #11.

Book #10! I‘ve really enjoyed reading this #Feverseries by #Moning her descriptions of background and imagination is absolutely wonderful. This particular book will be bout #Dani let see what kind of trouble she can get into this go around.

My first 5 star book of 2020! This is book 10 in this epic series. I really felt like I got to know Dani. I loved her and Ryodan so much, but it‘s really the continuation and evolution of Dani as a badass.

10/10 Much more in depth story of Dani. I sincerely hope the author writes more stories about the individual characters in this series! Very well written and impossible to put down.

Here‘s a collection of signs from my #LitsyWalkersBingo today. It‘s a little surprising to me how many folks still have up their Beto signs from the Nov election. It‘s hard to let go I guess. 2 miles today, even though it‘s drizzling. It was nice to walk anyway.

Life has been CRAZY the last few weeks! My oldest started school, family obligations, figuring out a new routine for the baby and I, etc. Things seem to be settling in now, and I'm hoping I can find some more time for reading and Litsy-ing. Starting a new book today! #feverseries #urbanfantasy

Holy epic adventure Batman! Author KMM put the MEGA back into the Fever series. Dani is all grown up and her story is fantastic.

I admit it I was never a Dani-Ryoden shipper, I put off reading this one when it came out. The beginning dragged a bit for me, but then it started to click & I speed through. Dani‘s grown so much, we got info & some resolutions regarding Dancer, Christian, Kat, Sean, and even about Ryoden himself. Who would have guessed he‘d end up being more open & forthcoming, or that KMM would be able to surprise me with a character‘s development again!

Wow this book was so good! I honestly never liked Dani very much but she‘s definitely come a long way from that obnoxious fourteen year old we first met. I love the bad ass woman she‘s become and Ryodan was exactly as amazing and sexy and romantic as I thought he would be😍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It always takes me a little while to get into these books cause I‘ve been reading them for so long and so much has happened that it‘s hard for me to remember all the details and characters when I read the new books once a year☹️ but I‘m about 2/3 into this and I‘m loving it⚔️👹🧝🏼‍♂️🧚🏻‍♀️🇮🇪

I love getting Danny‘s story and learning more about who she is now as a woman. She has been through so much and it‘s so amazing how she hasn‘t let it turn her bitter. I enjoy seeing her interact with Ryodan and I love them together! Danny never fails to make me laugh.

I missed Mac and Barron‘s though and hope the next book is about them. KMM is amazing and the world she has made just amazes me.

A pretty cool idea to change up the Fever universe! Really liked this book even though the focus was on Dani rather than Mac. Hope the next one comes out soon!

I was right, I‘m up too late, needed to finish this one before I could sleep and [Oprah voice] I LOVED IIIIIT!!!

So, this was all about growth and change and acceptance and I frankly think it‘s KMM‘s best in a while. It was more traditional romancey, but still lots of ass kicking. There seem to be split opinions on it, but for me, this was a fantastic entry in the series and actually has me excited to see where it goes next. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

#BookMail looks familiar today 😊 Before she posted a link where we could get more than just her signature, I had pre-ordered this signed copy from B&N. Instead of canceling this one I decided I would keep the one where she congratulated me on the birth of Winter, and give this to one of my friends. I also ended up ordering another one of these to have delivered to another friend. I love that it is not a stamped signature like they sometimes do.

It came out on Tuesday, but so worth the wait ❤️ This is the second time one of her books came out very shortly after having a Baby, and I cannot wait to pass these on to my girls when they are older 😊 Kaysen, Winter, and I are very lucky KMM does special signings.
