A Bookshop in Berlín is a different, but still informative, peek into WWII. I liked reading about Frenkel‘s experience and found her outlook on life and people very inspiring.

My book club did vote that they should have kept the original title of “No Place to Lay One‘s Head” because there is very little on the bookshop.

Descendant of the Crane is the most well-done, sibling centered, Fantasy that I have ever read! I would say that it even rivals the dynamics of the Pevensie children in C.S Lewis‘ The Chronicles of Narnia.

Really really good book!! I‘ve been implementing and personalizing a lot of Morgan‘s tips and scheduling hacks and they‘ve really helped me control my day!

Finally some quiet time at work to tackle this book! Chapter one already got me hooked!

My fiance and I had been trying to do a Bible study together over Facetime while he was stationed in North Carolina, but it was hard to find one that was a quick read but also went into deeper discussions to help us grow. So when we found Core 52, we decided to give it a shot, and it is so worth it!

What happens when the protagonist of one story becomes the antagonist of another? Well that's where the Blue Witch comes in! And I really, really, really wanted to like this short story...but in the end, it just came full circle and nothing about Ophelia ever changed. So I only gave it 1 out of 5 stars.

Financial Empowerment is for answering all of those “why?” questions Christians have aimed directly to their finances.

As far as just needing a mind-shift in how you look at finances and understanding how we as Christians should view our money management skills, I definitely recommend this book as a perfect starting point!

While reading the first book, I had originally thought this series would be a middle grade fantasy, however, after reading The Gauntlet of Wrath, I am certainly going to say that I was wrong! The author improved SO much of Faharen's story in this sequel that it's almost a whole new storyworld and I'm very glad of it!

Foiled is an extremely well-done, middle grade novel that had me laughing and actually gripping the pages firmly in some places. It is a historical fiction book with a little twist of science fiction and lots of action for this age group. I loved Kate and Billy, and kids their age will, for sure, love reading about them!

Blaze is a young adult, contemporary retelling of Daniel and his friends during their captivity in Babylon, and while I loved this concept, I wasn't impressed with the high school atmosphere. There were just a lot of forced stereotypes that took away from the reality of the characters. 😢

The world of Aeolia is so, so beautiful. The vibrant colors and descriptions, the magic and mystery, and the creatures are all so enticing. Wow. This book put me in the feels BIG TIME. It‘s not just a sappy high school romance like I had expected. It‘s all about building family (even step family) and friend relationships, plus honoring and respecting our military. Ugh just so good I can‘t handle it!
