I can only do audiobooks for a few days and I am so glad I chose this one. The very first chapter is about Jimmy Stewart. I'm pretty vocal about how much I adore him. #RightBookRightTime

YESSSS! This lady made me belly laugh weekly as a kid!

I consider Carol the queen of comedy! I‘ve had this book for a bit but saw that she read the audio version, I knew I wanted that! It was like sitting with her as she told me stories. I laughed out loud &kept smiling even through a few tearful stories. I had heard a few stories from interviews but I loved this 100%
I use to watch the few eps they played on tv with my aunt which showed me a different side of comedy! I would love to watch them all!

I really enjoyed this book. I was looking for something that could make me laugh and this was perfect. I laughed out loud multiple times and then binge watched The Carol Burnett show on YouTube. Even more hysterical laughter. She is such a joy!

I do enjoy memoirs from show business icons. I listened to this audiobook (read by Carol) and was totally entertained.

Lots of car trips mean I'm on audiobook three this month already! Can't wait to jump into this one.

So enjoyable. And perfect for my short drive to work. Fantastic choice for anyone wanting to give audiobooks a try. Thanks again to all the Littens that recommended it during #marchintoreading!

Edit- I hope @Cinfhen doesn't mind, but it occurs to me that for me this would go under #bittersweetsymphony for #lyricalapril. There were several bittersweet stories and in some ways it was a bittersweet listen.

Did a little work on my April page while Carol told me stories. 😊

Absolutely loving this!! The chapters are the perfect length for my short drive to work and since it's almost vignette style I don't have the usual attention problems. This is a good one for easing into audiobooks.

Back to work today. 😭😭😭 I have a less than 10 minute drive, but all the audio Littens have got me wanting to give audio books a try again. I haven't been very successful in the past. Someone posted this one during #marchintoreading as a good one. Sorry I can't remember who. #blameitonlitsy

If you like Carl Burnett (and who doesn't?) you will like this book of vignettes from her life.

Just finished the ebook version of this book. It was an easy read , a charming series of vignettes detailing Carol Burnett's experiences : a phone call-to Marlon Brando , letters to Joan Crawford , the loss of her daughter Carrie are recounted with a very natural voice. My only complaint is I really think I met the public Carol and not the private Carol .
