No matter how many there are, I still enjoy this series. Eve is so kick-ass!

StayCurious I Love this series- I‘m in the process of rereading it. 5y
wanderinglynn @StayCurious that‘s ambitious! There‘s what, 45 books now? 5y
StayCurious @wanderinglynn Golden in Death is #50! I like the audiobooks- they‘re quick listens. 5y

wanderinglynn @StayCurious My library doesn‘t have these on audio. 😕 I can‘t believe there are 50 already! That‘s so crazy! Do you think she really writes all these books? Or do you think at this point, there are some ghost writers? 5y
StayCurious @wanderinglynn she‘s always been extremely prolific. And she‘s adamant that it‘s all her - I find all her books are written in her trademark style so I believe it‘s all her. 5y
wanderinglynn @StayCurious then she is a writing machine. Amazing. 5y
Airykah13 One of my favorite series! I‘m almost caught up 5y

My Week 1 #BFC and I made my goal!
According to my Apple Health Tracker I had 139 minutes of exercise, which was a combination of walking, stairs at work and my home stationary bike. I also finished my first #audiobook of the challenge along with finishing up the tagged book tonight as bonus. Thanks @wanderinglynn and fellow participants for the motivation!! 👏🥰😍🏃🏻‍♀️

CoverToCoverGirl Well done! 😎 5y

My guilty pleasure like cola or chips. Some books in series are good, some predictable, but I'm reading all of them)

Stegofreak For whatever reason J.D. Robb's name always grabs my attention from the shelves. I've never read any of the books but my interest has been piqued. 5y

I just 💞 this series! And this once again has all the elements that make me love it - the fantastic characters; the witty, sarcastic banter; and a decent story.

These characters have grown so much over the years and keep growing. 48th book and I am still loving them. Now I will have to wait for #49. I do wonder who the candy thief is and if Dallas will ever catch them? I also wonder, if Dallas and Roark will ever have a kid? Of course if they did, would that end the series🤔

tracey38 I do hope we get to find out who the candy thief is! Love this series, too. 5y

Highly recommend . This story begins with a murder disguised as an overdose. It seems from gangs in the city. Through many twists and turns, Eve zeros in on the culprits. Excellent read.

Formulaic? Yes. But it‘s a formula, that, after reading 48 books in this series, I still enjoy. This one didn‘t get all 5 stars since (IMHO) the ending seemed to drag on and on. But - am I ready for #49? You bet!

Mehso-so

By this point, Lt. Eve Dallas and her world feels familiar and we are reassured that at the end of the day, a murder will be solved and Eve and Roarke will have sexy times, and there will be snark. Personally, this felt like a weaker book since the plot wasn‘t as engaging and some of the characters felt more like caricatures. But those familiar with the world will get through it fairly quickly! #booked2019 female detective prompt

Cinfhen I think that‘s common with some of these long running series... it all starts to feel like shampoo, lather, rinse, repeat!!! 5y
wanderinglynn I still read them because I like the characters. I‘m hoping that eventually Ms. Robb will make Eve pregnant. Eve & Roarke have discussed it in at least one book, but so far . . . I think that would be an interesting plot given Eve‘s background (& Roarke‘s too). 5y
BooksAtNight @Cinfhen There‘s definitely a way I expect the books to go now that we‘re on book 40something. But that does make this series my perfect comfort read. 5y
BooksAtNight @wanderinglynn Oh me too! I love all the characters now and am invested in their wellbeing. I agree that having Roarke and Eve care for a child will be a turning point for the series (Survivor in Death was one of my favorites). We‘ll see what Robb has in place for them! 5y
