MY FAVORITE COMIC SERIES OF ALL TIME HAS RETURNED!! Now to decide whether I want to read this one issue at a time for the next 5 months, being forced to painfully - I mean patiently - wait through each cliff hanger, or wait until June/July where I can gobble it up all at once. Maybe I'll wait.

It won‘t take you long to see why this hilarious, war-torn, heart-shattering, sexually graphic, peace-exalting, violent science fantasy space opera starring star-crossed interspecies lovers, their adorable baby, a robot prince, a hitman with a hairless cat, and many other lovable and villainous aliens has been censored, challenged, banned…and won twelve Eisner Awards, seventeen Harvey Awards, and a Hugo. It‘s a masterpiece.

Gah, I already have 2x copies of Saga, but they are both in storage, so I mayyyy have ordered myself the compendium.

I don't want to wait years before I can get back into the story. Time for a re-read, then onto the new material 💙🪐🌠

The next issue of Saga is going to be released next week and I'm in two minds whether to get the first Compendium & re-read the whole thing so I can throw myself straight into them...

OR (and this seems more likely) to wait for them to come out in trade paperback and get a friend (or Google) to read them first to make sure that my two favourite characters survive.

I'll spoiler them in the comments in case anyone hasn't caught up yet.

This chonker came in the mail today! Every single issue of Saga (so far) in one book!! It's sooo heavy 😭 Saga is one of my favorite comics and I've been wanting a hard copy for awhile (PS they're free to read on Hoopla lol). If you've been wanting to start Saga now is a really good time! It's been on hiatus for a couple years but it's coming back sometime this year! So start catching up and you can be hyped with the rest of us!

Holy cannoli was that a rollercoaster!! This story was fascinating, gut wrenching and was one where you dont want to get attached to anyone.. The ending DESTROYED me and there better be more because that cliffhanger was so unfair! Lol. I highly enjoyed this story though and the artwork was beautiful!

Hoping that a good graphic novel can break this reading rut!! So far I am LOVING this one 😁

Y‘all, it‘s been ages since we did a #Comicthon, so I‘m calling it. This Sunday, I‘m gonna park myself outside with a big pile of comics and have a low key, no stress readathon. Wow... Gotta love it when a book lives up to the hype. Gorgeous artwork and epic, rich, complex story. This is one graphic novel that is not for kids while also being such a good read and raising interesting moral issues. Takes the genre up to a new level.

I‘m up now and catching up on challenges and listening to Middlemarch to ease into the day. 😄
Above is my down to the wire entry for the sci-fi challenge. Anyone who has talked to me about books for more than five minutes knows of my great love for Saga. Aside from Buffy it is one of my obsessions. Love this series!

Saga fans, we‘re officially halfway through this wild (and dare I say emotionally overwhelming at times) ride. I hope the hiatus is over soon!
