This is the first book in a trilogy, it has romance and magic. I liked the characters, Princess Aurelia is a good female lead. I have also read the other two books. Greythorne is the second and Ebonwilde is the third. I enjoyed the whole series.

Gorgeous cover! Obsessed. As for the inside, it was an enjoyable story overall. The characters were nice & the world interesting. The romance was super clean👌 But I had 4 main issues. The MC was kind of...stupid? Much of the plot was so PAINFULLY obvious & she should have picked up on almost all of it. Also if you are Christian...(continued in comments)
Currently I‘m only roughly 10% in and having a very hard time. I‘ve had to stop twice now. It‘s so painful to me…. I‘m going to keep pushing through. I think I‘m being affected by outside of book circumstances and hoping to fall into the book if I keep trying..
Loved this book! It really reminded me of Stained but they're different enough to be uniquely wonderful.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for an adventurous, romance, involving a brave blood mage.
📚📖Happy Reading!📖📚
Has anyone read the first book? I have this arc for the second book and I want to know if I can read the second without reading the first.
This had a very slow meh start for me but I'm glad I pushed through it. I love that YA is suddenly using the crap out of blood magic. I wanted just more of the magic itself though I did enjoy all the political maneuvering and the chase. Would I spend $26.99 CAD on the book? No. I wouldn't have touched this if my library didn't have the book and Audible had the audiobook as a daily deal. I will read the sequel though via the library
I can honestly say quarantine has been really beneficial to my TBR backlog
I finally have some time to read. 😴
I don't know anything about this book. I read about 60 pages this morning it seem like I'll enjoy it. I basically bought it because I liked the cover. 🤗

This one was SO GOOD!! It did take me a few to get through it because we were dealing with a family emergency. But man was it worth it!! Make sure to check out this can‘t put down debut title! Bloodleaf by @crysrensmith. I totally need book two!! .
Oh man, this book made me full-on sob! This was amazing and I can't wait for Greythorne to come out!
I am so ready and here for this spellbinding and creepy read!!! #tbr #wanttoread @HMHKids
This one was a total #NetGalleyGamble for me- and one that panned out! The world-building in this YA Fantasy is a bit clunky and rushed at first, but once you pass that, it‘s a fun and entertaining read! It‘s not the most unpredictable read, but I think it‘s appropriate for its intended audience and I‘m definitely curious to see where the sequel will take these likable characters!
Rating-5/5 Stars
So freaking good! I didn‘t even know this was a retelling of a fairytale. So, that‘s cool. I just loved the world building and the character growth. Plus, the magic system was executed really well and I want to see more of it. I could not put this down and cannot wait for book two! Also, I loved how I got this at B&N even though it doesn‘t release until 3/12/19.

"The gallows had been erected in the shadows of the clock tower, partly so that the spectators could witness the executions without the nuisance of the sun in their eyes, and partly so that the Tribunal could keep its killings on precise schedule."
Wow that's how chapter one STARTS? Buckle up!!
Morning coffee and an ARC. 😚
Lately I haven't found much time for reading and I don't like it! Funny how life happens all at once and then there are slow spots. I'm hoping it slows down again soon. I really want to get back into books! Like this good one!
