bailedUsually I love Robotham‘s work, but I got bored of this. 5.5 hours into the Audio (@1.25 speed, I kept thinking….when are we going to get to the point. Even though I bailed, I‘d give it at least a “so-so”. The day before he‘s to be released, a convict escapes prison. It seems like he was set up and he‘s going to track down the culprits, but over a 1/3 of the way in I can‘t even tell you that much for sure.
pickThis book hooked me right out of the gate! There was a whole Shawshank vibe that intrigued me. A man was set to be released from prison after serving a 10-year sentence, but escapes one day early. Why? I was stoked to find out. And while it didn't quite stick the landing, it was overall a page-turning read! 4⭐️
so-soI was really into this book until about 2/3 through. Then it all clicked and I figured it out. I was a little disappointed with how it ended. Things were tied up just a little too quickly and perfectly.
The audio book seems to be the perfect dog soother though. 🐶😴
I‘ve hit some shark jumping. I don‘t particularly love it but it‘s so close to being done.... so persevere, I must. The positive is I really enjoy the narration. This guy has some bomb voices. 💣 🔥

I ordered this from Amazon for one cent plus $3.99 shipping and I want to tell y'all this is probably one of the best books I've ever read! One of the few books I opened and started reading that moment instead of adding to the stack. A "guy" book maybe, but I loved it and hated for it to end!!
pickWhy would a man escape from jail the day before his release? Great hook, solid characters & a plot line that kept me guessing right up to the end. Very making of a murderer-esque.
