so-so3.5✨This is my second read of this book. It is not my favorite from Sparks, but it handles PTSD mildly. We also have a bad cop/husband that is just flat out selfish. Then we have our main female character and mother who looks at the good in everyone.
Trying to finish a few to fill in new ones to finish series. Plus I had some plans for #fairytalereading and #foodandlit2022 that didn‘t make it on here. pickMy first Nicholas sparks book and I really enjoyed it I feel brave enough to read his other books now :) A really good story I liked all the characters and the story line was well thought out and didn‘t leave me guessing . I like how the story wrapped up and left no loose ends . It is a romance book in a way but it‘s not super cheesy it‘s got some other things thrown in the mix which was nice . I look forward to reading his other books .

pickYesterday‘s score from the salvos. Lots of DVDs & great cook books which are a rare find in local op shops. I had a great afternoon filling in time at the shops before I had a free massage to help a guy finish his massage course. I also went to the end of season sale at Big W & got 8 items of clothing for me, 3 for my step daughters & one for my nephew for $40! I also got a bundle of magazines at the library & my friend @Lunawarner made me dinner.
Stopped by my local second hand shop and found this one, only €1! Never read Nicholas Sparks before, so I am quite curious

so-soI am having problems with his characters. The women always had some rough patch that they went through and are afraid or at least haven't been in any relationship for the longest time, e.g. single mom or trauma with previous relationship. Meanwhile, the leading men are always so romantic, sweet, thoughtful, etc. The leading men make your boyfriend or your husband look like crap in comparison.
