An old favorite mug of mine. ?
"Never, ever, think outside the box."
Reading by the water while the hubby goes fishing. Perfect start to a sunny day ☉ #summerreading
It just started raining, so I'm under the awning and watching the campfire from a distance. Still a perfect spot to drink my coffee and read Caffeinated! #summerreading #summerholidays

If you are a soda or energy drinker do you know you are putting synthetic caffeine into your body? The description of the Chinese factories‘ filthy conditions are🤢 disgusting! You may swear off soda.
Lots of science, research, effects on sports, delivery mechanisms in Carpenter‘s extensively researched book. I don‘t think he left anything out. I love it when an author works hard for us curious readers and I feel he did this. 👏
Good morning, Littens! Dottie and I haven‘t had any coffee and it was a rough night. But! Looking forward to a cup of coffee and a good chapter before I have to leave home. Happy Sunday! #butfirstcoffee
Coffee and books - my husband knows just what I love and makes sure I'm always surrounded by both. He knows that it serves him well for me to be caffeinated and happy. Lol
Well better late than never! Thank you to @KateTheBookworm for the awesome books and tea all the way from Japan! Can't wait to start reading them!
Thank you again to @BookishMarginalia for organising the swap!

Trying to kick a bad habit! My lovely coworker let me borrow her copy (and "The Willpower Instinct" below it) this week.
Latte with home roasted coffee beans and a dusting of chocolate! #abookandyourfavesnack #readjanuary
This is something I really need to be more aware of - in the long term I'm not doing myself/my body any favours by masking fatigue with caffeine. It's true, fatigue is telling us our body/mind needs restorative time. If we just ignore the signals we aren't getting rid of the problem, we are making it more detrimental.
So I've drank more coffee & tea (and craved more chocolate) during the first couple chapters of this than I have in weeks! I think I may be crushed when I get past the wonderful descriptions of all the delicious forms caffeine takes and into the 'what it does to your body' sections. #caffeinatedglow #coffeeandbooks #winterreading #thehighbeforethecrash #atwoodblendcoffee #birdfriendly #amberroast #peleeislandbirdconservatory
Is it wrong to start reading this with a giant mug of coffee? Margaret Atwood wouldn't lead me astray! #coffeeandbooks #atwoodblendcoffee #birdfriendly #balzacs #oppositesattract
It's #NationalCoffeeDay so I wanted to share this amazing book (seen here with my breakfast). It is SO fascinating! It's not a lecture on not drinking caffeine but a look at its uses and a discussion on how there are still no real regulations - or even a comprehensive understanding - of the world's most widely used drug. (At his reading Murray brought a bag of powdered caffeine, enough to kill 16 people, which he legally bought on the Internet.)
Many fascinating facts about everyone's favorite substance. A bit slow at times (on audio anyway) but still worth it if you want to know more about how caffeine works and the amazing things it can make us do. I write this review as I wait for my tea to steep...
