#InspiredNewYear Day 26: We need to be #Mindful that in most everything that we do, it takes a village to make it happen. Review of this gorgeous picturebook is forthcoming. Happy to have found it on Overdrive.
I‘m a woman who neither wants nor likes kids. The amount of flak I‘ve caught for this has helped cement resentment and deepened this dislike. Reading this book was absolutely necessary for me to undo much of that and regain perspective. This taught me an incredible amount and has helped me become a more sympathetic person, which was absolutely necessary.
Thought this was cute.
#HeyJune Day 4: There is a #IWantToHoldYourHand vibe to the narrative as it speaks of the significance of community, the valuing of diversity, and celebrating multiculturalism in the truest sense of the word: and yes, it does take a village.
The line goes all the way around the block but what‘s at the end is worth it.
Received a copy of this book from a signing event hosted by another branch of the book store I work for and it still holds up as a wonderful example of everyone accepting and working with each other.
#LitsyPaysItForward @Smangela @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks I told you I had those babies covered. 😊
I cried when watching Pete Souza's slideshow at breakfast this morning and burst into tears as soon as Hillary took the stage (with Cheryl Strayed!) tonight.

Herstory in the making. Can't wait to share with my daughter in the morning.
I wasn't expecting to be as emotional tonight as I am. So proud to be with her!
#WWW This is the back cover of my original 1996 Hillary Rodham Clinton's 'It Takes a Village'. 20 years since this book was published and this week the 1st Woman Presidential Nominee of a Major Political Party. You may love her, or hate her, but she's made history this week either way....going from Mrs. Clinton in this back cover blurb, to Senator, to Secretary of State, and now Presidential Nominee, she's my WWW!
